Yeah, that seems it. Weird that it seems Handbrake won't use quicksync now, even with /dev/dri still in as a device. EDIT: Weird. Had to delete /dev/dri from the template, save the template, then re-add it for it to actually work again.

I noticed today that I have two containers that disappeared from my docker tab. They showed up in as orphan images but I cannot get them installed again, including going to previous apps and reinstalling, deleting the files from appdate and trying to install clean etc (note - only tried that with handbrake as I don't want to needlessly delete duplicacy). The two containers in question are: saspus/duplicacy-web:latest jlesage/handbrake:latest When I try to install/reinstall handbrake I get the following error at the end of the install fail: docker: invalid spec: :/trash:rw: empty section between colons. See 'docker run --help'. When I try to reinstall duplicacy I get the following error at the end: docker: invalid spec: :/backuproot:rw: empty section between colons. See 'docker run --help'. The 'docker run --help' doesn't seem to be of any help to me, so I'm really not sure what to do here. Running 6.12.8 and recently installed the recycle bin plugin, but other containers have updated without issue, I believe, and I still get the errors even with that disabled. No other changes to the system have happened recently that I can think of. I'd appreciate any help. EDIT: Looks like there are new variables in the templates to fill in all of a sudden, or suddenly needed in any event. Not sure why that is. I was able to get Handbrake running by filling in the trash variable, though why that appears is confusing to me now. I also filled in the/backuproot variable in the template for duplicacy and it works now, so was this my templates getting changed somehow or did the containers get additional requirements?

This sort of works for me, but it isn't working in a Test share that I have .txt files in to test deleting, but deleted some other files fine.

You are of course correct that SMB1 is problematic from a security point at this time but I don't think you are correct in stating this is something that needs to be fixed on the android side - it seems like the most probable explanation so far in this thread is this is a mis-implementation of samba on unraid, somehow. Android already has clients that can handle SMB 1, 2, and 3 and things were perfectly fine with SMB2+ on unraid 6.9.2 but broke on 6.11.0+.

Fair ask, but it shouldn't be an issue - its a pretty new high quality 650W power supply with a single rail that does 20A/110W for 5vand 54A/650W for 12v, with only 7 other mechanical drives and 3 ssds in the system, on a 10th gen intel with no external gpu. I'll note that one time I saw a Kernel panic happen when this first started, saying kernel stack is corrupted in __x64_sys_epoll_wait+0x59/0x68 another time I aw it say (repeating over and over): #PF: supervisor write access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0002) - not present page BUB: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffffffffffffae To be safe I ran a memtest but it all cleared without issue.

I ran in to an issue when I was trying to preclear two 12TB drives at the same time - the system would crash/freeze (corrupted my plex database). I thought it was perhaps a faulty LSI card that I had added so I removed it and added them straight to the motherboard and it crashed again after a short time (minutes). Running them one at a time hasn't been an issue though - first finished and second is going now without issue. Is this a limitation of the plugin or does it perhaps take a ton of memory? I have 48GB with 32GB of that dedicated to Plex for transcoding, but thought I shouldn't have an issue.

No, they haven't fixed it. File Manager + works but doesn't have multiple tabs/windows available, which kills the way I use the file managers. I haven't found one that works that allows for multiple windows/tabs.

Gpu Statistics: 2022.11.30a Intel GPU Top: 2023.09.13

I'm on 6.11.5 and I noticed that GPU statistics isn't showing me anything on the dashboard anymore where it worked before before. Bars are all empty and power draw, IMC Bus Utilitzation (REceive and Transmit) and GPU Clock all just say "N/A". I've tried reconfiguring it, removing the plugin and reinstalling it, and also rebooting the server. I'll note that the intel_gpu_top command in command line does work and show statistics, so things are working in the background, just not displaying in the dashboard. Any thoughts/solutions?

This used to work fine for me and it has been a while since I used it but now I am getting errors when trying to add to queue or start and encode regarding the Destination "Can not read or write the directory". I've tried different directories, running docker safe new permissions, changing the path, using just the default output path etc. and so far no solutions. Any suggestions? I'm on 6.11.5. Edit: I removed the container and deleted the image, then deleted the appdata folder for it and reinstalled with same settings and things are working again.

@ljm42 @limetech Can we please get an update on this? The ongoing silence (3+ months) despite requests for updates seems to be screaming that it isn't something that is cared about which would be incredibly disappointing and frustrating but I'd love for someone to officially state otherwise.

Still an issue for me on 6.11.5 and still no response from the unraid crew, despite @Fffrank putting it a bunch of effort with Samba.

I'm going to tag the admins that are following this: @limetech and @ljm42 Can one of you please have someone review the discussion in that Samba support thread and then proceed from there?

Appreciate you helping drive this forward. It is so annoying if you try to delete a folder with files too - it just deletes a single file in the folder at a time... This is killing me. The file managers that I most want to use as they have multiple tabs/windows don't work (like Solid, MiX) - only a few that are one-window do (like file manager+). If you need any support in terms of tests or whatever I will help, and would hope others in this thread (including the unraid folks) would help also. Just let me know.

I was hoping that the update to 6.11.4 (and then 6.11.5) which brought an update to Samba 4.17.3 would resolve this, but no luck... The Total Commander developer, whose app is also having this issue, thought perhaps it is affecting the android apps which use the smbj samba library, which he uses: https://github.com/hierynomus/smbj That said, I don't know if it is actually the issue or what to do with the information even if it was. I dunno what else I can do at this point. I've also tried a ton of things. I followed up with the developer of my favourite explorer app who never responded before, but I'm not holding my breath...

I have not and do not have the ability to do so (it was the developer of the Total Commander app - I emailed several app developers trying to sort this out and they have been the only one that responded). I've asked if they can share that file or join this thread here.

I appreciate that you have verified what I am experiencing. I also have no idea what is causing it, but it is absolutely a wrench in my workflows. The developer for Total Commander was good in trying to sort this out but didn't get anywhere as Ubuntu wasn't showing an error. Their contact is on the app's page - maybe they would be helpful and you could give an extended trial or basic license for unraid if they wanted to try installing it in place of ubuntu?

@ljm42 There are several apps that don't work and a few that do. See this youtube video [edit: removed video] of me going through some of the apps and showing the errors and then the file deleting (generally just the first file if I have selected multiple). As for reproducing this, I'm experiencing this just when trying to delete files from a SMB share from any of my android phones, regardless of whether in a private or public share - I made a bunch of txt files as tests, as you can see in the video. While this share is public and I've tried with phones that are logged in to a user profile as well as ones that aren't, it is possible that this is a permissions peculiarity with some shares being private and some public (though I have issues regardless of what type for deleting files) and I had no errors of this sort on 6.9.2. I also sometimes get errors and the inability to move files from certain paths to other locations via the apps (though no issues via windows or Krusader). I'm pulling my hair out and will do whatever I can to provide information I can to support.

So I've been in touch with a developer of one of the apps that I am having an issue with and they aren't getting issues with Samba on Ubuntu. This is what they said: I'm really struggling with this as it affects my ability to remotely manage files from my phone. I'm on 6.11.1 now but same issue persists. I've chatted with another person on discord that is getting the same issues - not sure if this is an unraid issue here or what but, again, it is really changing how I do things. Any thoughts @ljm42?

@ljm42I was getting the slider turning itself off automatically also. I managed to get it working by deleting the dev and dev wg0 instances in the config file, but the output from my running of the testnet.php script is below (and I have attached the diagnostics file). I was on 6.9.2 and had wireguard running for a week or two before I updated to 6.11.1 but now wireguard isn't working. I can have tunnel set to active but as soon as I add a peer it will go to inactive and all future attempts to make the tunnel active will just have the slider immediately return to inactive. If I delete the peer then I can again make the tunnel active. I'm pulling my hair out here - any thoughts?
