  1. life saver thanks! I dont think the wife have been very appreciative of another HDD purchase
  2. Here is the diagnostic zip, thanks for the help blastoise-diagnostics-20200610-1944.zip
  3. I am trying to add a 15K SAS drive I have as a cache drive to my server but it keeps coming back with an error. CacheST300MP0026_WAE07FE0 - 0 B (sdc)39 C10400btrfsUnmountable: Unsupported partition layout I have tried with XFS and BTRFS format options https://pastebin.com/HniNk8wE That is the log giving a little more detail, I am unsure on what to do about the error its giving me there.
  4. The simplicity of unRAID is so welcoming for all new homelabbers, I first looked into home labbing and assumed I would have to install windows server onto a machine directly and then use vsphere or something to get anything done. I was so glad I came across unRAID the utility and ease of use is beyond anything I expected, the schizophrenic donkey that windows is pales in comparison. The only thing I would like to see at some stage is the possibility for a larger drive pool, I am trying to figure out a fresh build server and would like to absolutely jam pack it with drives.
  5. So please tell me if I can't do this, but I want to use the serial port on my R320 (UnRAID host) to access a Dell Powerconnect switch. I have used a Dell Tower server with windows 10 on it and putty before to access the switch, but no longer have access to that. I would like to use my existing hardware but Putty app and a VM with putty on it could not connect to the port over serial 9600 (which is correct to access the switch) Any help would be so very appreciated!!!
  6. OK I must be missing something here, I installed the nzbgetvpn docker, have my pia credentials in, go to launch the web ui and it asks me for username and password? What am I doing wrong? with SAB I just went to the webui then I could add my newshosting account and we were good to go??? Edit: so more google fu and username is nzbget and password is tegbzn6789
  7. I can see many questions along these lines already asked, however I couldn't really find anything about NAS either counting or not counting as attached storage? If a removable USB is counted is a NAS then also counted? I only have a R320 and want to use the 4 bays it has, it also has a DVD drive, a couple of usb ports and the of course my NAS. I just want to know if I can buy the basic licence or will I HAVE to buy a higher tier???
  8. thanks @trurl all advice is very appreciated as I am new, still new enough to be using the trial version of unraid infact. Thanks!
  9. @Squid So I am still pretty new to all this, and don't understand where it says pre-fail and old age are they just "normal states" for all drives regardless if its a new or old drive as long as they are working? I have a 1TB drive I got with some gear and don't want to use it if I just have to replace it in a month or so. Thats what lead me to this thread and the look into HDsentinel for the expected life left portion of the report. Attached is the report from unraid.
  10. The website doesn't give much info on how to, the only thing with any real info is the changelog and that doesn't exactly work as a guide.
  11. OK, so next question is there a way to download a recipe book or pdf or anything to Grocy, or do I have to manually enter everything????? Any suggestions on this at all? I would like to set it up so my partner and kid can just open the tablet and there it all is.
  12. Any chance this would work with a tablet and intergrate with a barcode scanning app or something? Or do I need a direct attached usb scanner? Great program btw very well done!!!
