You are a little late with this post. I spent several hours and figured it out by trial and error. I have notice something strange with the binhex docker version. I stated it up and launched for the first time and it came up fine. I then edited it to modify the /data dir. I click on the Sickrage icon in the Unraid gui, and it wont launch. I will launch for the shortcut I made earlier. Im still scratching my head over this one. Have you seen this as well?

I still seem to be having the same issue. I reformatted the USB stick, did a fresh install of UnRaid 6. Copied the config folder, without any plugins and still the array will not start. All my drives show correctly and config is valid.

I did not know that was necessary. My installed plugins are, VirtualBox, Sabnzbd, CouchPotato, Sickbeard, UPS. Is there a way to check if the plugins are 64bit? I could use some guideance here.

I tried to upgrade for 5.04 to 6. I followed the instructions unzipping the files I reformated the usb stick, and zunzipped the files to the usb and made it bootable, and copied the config folder to the stick. The server did come up and all looked good, except the Plex plugin did not show up. Problem was when I tried to start the array, it would not come up. I would like on the start button and nothing happens. Also I am seeing 23 drive slots like I am running Pro, but I am running Plus. Is this normal? I am thinking of trying again without the plugins and add them back one at a time. Am I missing something.

I think it would be /mnt/disk1/sharename You might find this helpful. I looks like the easy way is to use Midmight Commander. In telnet window type mc. If you have to rebuild you usb boot, you and copy the config folder from the old boot usb and get your shares and other goodies back. I would not include plugins folder on first boot. After getting a good boot try it with the plugins folder included. If they all load you are back 100% without redoing your shares and plugins. That is what is did when upgrading to RC16. If your are not oin RC16, it might be a good time to upgrade. Just start with a fresh formatted USB stick. Copy all the files and run the makebootable batch file. Drop you licence key and config folder with plugins, if all is well with your array. Second boot with plugins folder, or if you are anal. Just copy the plg files after you boot and start the array. then move the plugins and install then manually one by one verifying proper function. cd /boot/plugins/installplg dontfoolmenow.plg for example. You and see how goes it on your telnet sonsole.

Try deleting or and the apcupsd.plg, and tgz, in packages I think. That might fix it. If not see below. I think the url in the plg is bad. I upgrade to the lasted RC and it wouldnt install last week. I had to copy the fires from the old RC. Hopefully you have a saved backup of your flash drive. Format usb and copy your backup to it. You will have to run the makebootable again as admin. Try to boot from it. If that does not work, wait to hear from someone who know more than me. The above process work for me more than once. Copy you non booting flash files, you can get your plugns and stuff, if your backup is old. Dont worry, should be an easy fix. URaid is pretty resilient. You can unpucker you spincter now. BTW: For future ref...print or save a copy some where safe so you will know how to assign your diives. If something really ba happens.

Thanks a lot, it works now. I spent several hours trying to figure it out. I should have caught that. One odd thing I had created three VMs, they are no longer in the list. Might be able to browe to the files.

I just solved this by editing my phpVirtualBox config.php and enabling the $consoleHost variable and setting it to my unRaid IP. this did not work for me. My config.php was lett at default. // Host / ip to use for console connections #var $consoleHost = '192.168.1.40'; I changed tihis to my URaid server IP 192.168.1.4 and it still does not work. vboxwebserv was restarted after the change.

Cursor display is off by about 4 inches. I was able to complete the Zorin OS install. to be honest I may have just deleted the vm in virtualbox (not the image just the vm) and created it again. Have you tried this? I deleted the two VMs I had created and made a fresh Win7 VM. Still cannot connect to console.. Works fine using RDP for my windoze box. Fixed the double cursor issue by loading the guest additions from /opt. I you are looking for a good use for VB. Have a look here. I guess I dont really have to have console from the web gui. I did some google fu on the cursor problems. It seems you have to install the guest additions to the guest vm. Will try that tomorrow.

Everything seems to have installed correctly and I can see the VM running in the Preview window. When I try to connect console I get this error. Disconnect reason: E: TCP: SECURITY_ERROR Error #2048 I am testing with a Zorin OS iso.

I was just wondering if you got your order filled by BFL. I am still waiting for my single that I ordered in April 2013. BTC. They way thing are looking with 20/20 hindsight. I may have been better to hold on to the BTC than invest in the BFL hardware. I have seen that BFL has shipped a couple of Mini Rig not at 500GHZ a hand full of singles and quite a few Jalapenos.

I started out with a Qnap 259PRO and I worked very well for SAB,SB and CP. Plex even ran great streaming on my local network. The two 2tb drives filled rather quickly and I was unable to transcode to IOS and Android devices. CPU was too weak. You might want to consider handing all the tasks over to the unraid box. Plex Media Server is pretty awesome on unraid and you can access you media from anywhere and share with family and friend I you like. I just use my Qnap not just for critical storage of stuff and really dont want to lose, and I rarely even boot it up. You didnt mention with you use as a front end to play your media.

Plex is an was base on xbmc. Plex uses the client server approach. All of your thumbnails and metadata are on the Plex Media Server which resides on your unraid server and you run Plex Media center on your HTPC or other device. Where Plex shines is in the apility to run on many devices like Androd and IOS. Also all of playstate is seemless on all of your clients. You really should give it a try. You can also share servers with other Plex users. If you you decide to try it, send me a PM and I will give you temp access to my plex server.

IT would more than likely work ok. Its very easy to test. Just get a flash drive and install unraid basic and boot from the flash. You are limited to 3 drives in the basic version. You parity drve has to be as large or larger than nay disk in the array. Nothing is written to the hard drives, unless you decide to set up a array. If you decide to add disks to unraid, any data will be overwritten. Its my understand that a share is created for any top level directory. If you want the files on your apps to stay put, go into your share settings and make it "Cache Only" .

I never edited the network.cfg. I just booted, went to a computer on the network, went to http://tower. Then set my static IP from the webgui.

Ok I got it, the /install.php is going. I re installed the webserver to get the default config. Now its pulling down data. I have spotweb and newznab both working. Question, what the difference in running the php script and clicking the retrieve button? Spotweb looks pretty good as a alternative to Newznab. Looks like spotweb does not like Chrome. I had to switch to IE to login.
