nraygun's post in Upgrade scary moment - why? was marked as the answerShout out to Unraid support for turning around my license key so fast - it took 8 minutes to get the license key link in an email!
The replacement drive seems to work and so far has survived two boots with no problems.

nraygun's post in Out of memory and unresponsive web and ssh was marked as the answerYep, it was BOINC.
I manually started it and the RAM usage jumped to 94% after a minute or two.
There must have been an update that broke it.
I'll leave it off for a day or two to see if I continue to get the OOM messages.

I turned off NetBIOS and kept WSD on.
Now I'm monitoring to see if I still get the DFS errors.

I think I'm all set.
@JorgeB and @trurl - Thanks for the help!
PS - My backup drive died too! It was unreadable on two systems. Bought a pair of new WD Red Plus drives from Amazon and backing up now.

Perhaps my thread on this topic should be deleted?

nraygun's post in Catastrophic failure! Corrupt boot USB drive? was marked as the answerI think I got it!
I think the original USB drive I had in the R710 might have been corrupted for a while but I never noticed it.
Also, when I put together the new server hardware, I used a wireless dongle for the keyboard and mouse. I think there might be RF interference going on.
I reflashed another USB drive and put it in a port away from the USB dongle and it seems to work now.
Odd thing though, it renamed the server to "Tower" from what I had originally.
It went into a parity check but I cancelled it. I have one scheduled to run on 1/1/2025 anyway.
Seems like all is well at the moment with the USB drive plugged into an adapter on the motherboard.
I'll keep an eye on it.
