  1. Hi, I have two zfs pools. One all SAS suds for vm/docker/appdata etc. Second one is 4X6tb SAS HDD’s for main storage. 32GB of RAM of which 16gb is assigned to a Windows VM and 3.84gb assigned to zfs arc. I don’t want to purchase any more ram at the moment but have a 400gb sas ssd available. I am looking to utilise this disk as the l2arc for the main zfs hdd pool. How would I accomplish this? Do I have to use the unassigned devices plugin or create a new single zfs pool with the single disk and, then use CLI to bind that disk to the storage pool. Thanks
  2. Hi, I’ve followed spaceinvaders one tutorial running a container via deluge vpn. But, I would like to run the entire server via vpn. Is this possible via Wireguard? I’m using PIA as the outgoing vpn service.
  3. I have tried doing this!! I recon configured everything. Still, doesn't work. Time to go back to Windows Server. Thanks for your help.
  4. They are all set to Private. I can access them when I install Unraid without a root password. The shares all show up in Windows and Mac. Once I enable a password for the root and add an user and password I get, " this tower/etc cannot be accessed". Shouldn't this be fairly straightforward like Windows?
  5. As the title suggests, cannot access Tower/whatevername after creating a new user. The root user has a password. Cannot log with it for a share and, neither the user that was created earlier . The permissions are correct. Get "this is not accessible" etc. Works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Is this what I paid £100 for?!!
  6. Hi, Thanks for replying. I am new to unraid so trying to get my head round things. I’ve followed the instructions and included “Interface as a variable and entered bond0 but still get the same message.
  7. I can’t get open vpn as to work. I install the app and go to the docker web ui and, I always get “ this site can’t be reached” page. What am I doing wrong?
  8. Excellent!! All set up thanks. Did a wipe of the server, installed firmware updates from Dell and, didn’t set up raid via perc . . . Installed the USB with unRAID in the internal USB slot and bingo!! Everything is working. Thanks for your help.
  9. I want to install unraid on the BOSS card . Ex: Windows server is on BOSS card and any additional storage to be stored on the HDD's. I would like a similar setup. Is this possible?
  10. Hi, many thanks for the reply. I have followed the steps provided but, when I insert the usb in the server , it always comes up with boot failed. The server is set to boot via UEFI not bios. The server won't let me set raid settings for Linux just Windows. I want the is to be booted via the BOSS card and not the usb.
  11. I have a T140 with 4 HDD's and 2 X 240gb M2 installed on a BOSS card. I have tried installing unraid to no effect. Installing Windows was a breeze but I cannot get unRaid to work. Can someone give me step by step instructions please if possible? The server has the H330 perc controller installed.
