  1. Its a new year, so I thought I would start it off by using Unmenu and kicking off some file system checks on each Data drive. But I hit drive #6 and I got the following error. Checking /dev/md6 (/dev/sdg) Sorry, not coded to handle ddf_raid_member on /dev/md6 /dev/md6 mounted on /mnt/disk6 Any ideas?
  2. Yes we purchased a Naked array from Lime and purchased all our drive from NewEgg....... Thanks for the response on the drive... I thought it looked OK, but another drive showed a lot less changes than this drive did so it just had me a little concerned. I really hate dealing with hard drives as I work for a small company (less than 100 employees) yet it seems like I'm always dealing with dead drives and often times its on brand new ones as well. Sometimes I think these company just gave up on making reliable drives and only care about the size these days. I'm dealing with a possible failing drive on my home unraid server as well..
  3. My company just purchased one of Lime's MD1500 servers and I am trying to preclear all our new drives..... Could you please advise on if I should be concerned with the the below results.. I already have 1(of 5) drives that are confirmed dead via SMART reporting S.M.A.R.T. error count differences detected after pre-clear note, some 'raw' values may change, but not be an indication of a problem 58c58 < 7 Seek_Error_Rate 0x002e 100 253 000 Old_age Always - 0 --- > 7 Seek_Error_Rate 0x002e 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 0 63c63 < 193 Load_Cycle_Count 0x0032 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 100 --- > 193 Load_Cycle_Count 0x0032 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 101 65c65 < 197 Current_Pending_Sector 0x0032 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 1 --- > 197 Current_Pending_Sector 0x0032 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 0 ============================================================================ root@unraid:/boot#
  4. Thanks for the input I went ahead and did the same thing you did with the LL config with all 3 options.. I'm sure the default processor is more than enough, but I just have a bad hatred for Celeron and most of that dislike probably stems from the early generations which were complete junk. So I can't help but associate the word Celeron with crap to this day and I continue to avoid them and tell others to avoid them as well. I'm honestly surprised that Intel has held onto the Celeron brand for as long as it has as it makes since to come up with new names from time to time.
  5. I use Unraid at home and finally convinced the boss to get a server in the office for archiving our old data so it doesn't waste space on our front line servers. But I have read, and read again the different configurations available for the 1510 and can't figure out which one to get as the configurations seem so similar. Anyone have any opinions/thoughts on which model is the better choice and why? This unit will be sitting in the corner of a temperature controlled server room and I do plan on upgrading to the Core2Duo processor as the word Celeron just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Any input would be appreciated Thanks, Josh
  6. I would have thought no authentication would have been the easier one to get working... As you stated though this does seem to be broke. I went ahead and used Gmail as welll and it appears my emails are now going through... Thanks, Josh
  7. New to unRaid, and after a rough start of snapping in half my USB flash drive, and another server of mine crapping out after removing a hard drive to move over to unRaid, I think I got things up and running and my array is all ready to go. I have 2 issues though with bubbaraid. I can not seem to get U-Notify to work for me. I copied the configuration posted in this post and Instead of random line errors like some users have reported it now appears like it wants to send the mail but in the end it fails. If I click send a test mail I get a pop up window that shows it connecting to my mail server, but then it displays > DATA < 354 enter mail, end with "." on a line by itself > . And never completes and I have never once received an email. Then my other issue is more of just a suggestion. Please upgrade NZBget to support SSL as I am really digging this newsgroup feature... If I am missing a quick work around for this then please point me around but on my quick searching it appears bubbaraid needs to upgrade the included NZBget, and then also another package or two would be required. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get U-Notify to function? I am using a basic port 25 smtp that requires no authentication. -Josh
