  1. If you are looking only for this one then take a look here - http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=11585.0 and the newer hardware here - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16859107052 This has been significantly cheaper in the past and also available on Ebay for $250 or so (not sure what happened now) So all I'd have to do is add the hard drives?
  2. Is this still a good build? Don't want to waste my money to find out parts are not compatible or it sucks. I'd like to hold 8-12TB in the smallest case I can get.
  3. Never got around to this, got back from my deployment in April and moved in 2 months after getting back. I need to think about this because my 2TB HD is crashing and now I'm rushing to get a new HD before it's to late.
  4. Love the case, how many TB's can it hold?
  5. Thanks for the response, the Antec 1200 V3 is an ugly case. I think I should make a build ASAP. Came home and my 2TB only has like 50GB left on it, which is my main one. I just need to hurry up and decide, lol.
  6. How many TB's can this case hold? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147112 I like the case and how would this build do? Motherboard: MSI G31TM-P21 LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130234 CPU: Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor BX80571E6600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116347 RAM: G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL6D-8GBMQ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231182 Power Supply - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M600 RS-600-AMBA-D3 600W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171036&Tpk=COOLER%20MASTER%20Silent%20Pro%20M600 To be honest, I just want this to be a nice media center server, but at the lowest cost possible since it's my first build. Would it be better and a cheaper option to buy a MicroServer N36L?
  7. Those red drive cages are made by iStarUSA. I don't remember the exact model number. However, I don't recommend using them in any heat-sensitive build (with 7200 RPM drives), as the airflow through those drive cages is pretty sub-par. Where did you find the Cooler Master 590? That case is discontinued and thus quite difficult to source. I've only been able to find them used. The site says the case is on back/pre-order, so I doubt they have updated it discontinued on their site. I'd really like to build this, but just nervous, don't want to waste my money. I should probably just go with a bigger tower since I do plan on slowly adding more storage. Here is the case I seen from another thread, I really like it. http://www.raidmax.com/chassis/platinum.html I just need some encouragement that I won't break anything, lol.
  8. Not bad, I have 3 externals with data on them. I didn't know I could just rip them out of the case and use them. 2TB external, 2(1TBx2) external. Now, are you using any of those 5x3 cages?
  9. Okay, this is going to be pricey, lol.
  10. I found that case for sale, what is the name of the 5 bay drive in that case?
  11. Looks good and crowded. How much money is into this build so far? I'm still debating if I want to build my own or not.
  12. I also really like the convenience of this case Because eventually in the long run I might have more than 12TB.
