Change parity drive title from Parity 2 to Parity
If I wanted to ensure that I have a parity drive in place during this transition, can I add a second Parity 2 drive with a new disk and then once this Parity 2 drive is fully synced, unmount the original Parity 2 and move it to Parity 1?

Change parity drive title from Parity 2 to Parity
Thanks. That makes good sense. I will wait for disk 4 to finish and then I will change the drive to Parity’and this will sort things out.

Change parity drive title from Parity 2 to Parity
HI All, I have been running unraid for around 5 years now and a number of my original drives are starting to fail so I'm going through the process of upgrading them to larger ones. The 6 disks I had originally put in the machine were all 10TB and two of these were "Parity" and "Parity 2". I have recently removed "Parity" as I needed more space and have consumed the original "Parity" disk as a data drive. So this has left the "Parity 2" drive in place. What I wanted to know is if I can rename "Parity 2" to be "Parity" and if so, how do I do it? I have attached a pic of my drive setup for reference.

ASUS PRIME H770-PLUS D4, LSI-9207-8i & Nvidia P4000
Hey, I have recently downgraded from a Dell R730 server that was running my unraid / Plex combo and am looking to build a new PC. This setup will be headless and only be used to run plex. No VMs, etc. I already have the followign hardware: LSI-9207-8i - for my 6 main drives and 2 cache drives. Nvidia P4000 - for HW transcoding SilverStone CS380 case with 8 drive backplane I am a bit confused at which mobo I should get to support max bandwidth for the two cards. Looking at the ASUS PRIME H770-PLUS D4 along with a i3-12100 CPU. Will this mobo give me the max throughput (required PCIe lanes) to support the two cards? Thanks.

Upgrade from 6.10.3 to 6.11.5 - SSL verification failure
I am attempting to upgrade from 6.10.3 to 6.11.5 Stable. I get the msg: lugin: installing: /var/tmp/unRAIDServer.plg plugin: downloading: https://unraid-dl.sfo2.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/stable/unRAIDServer-6.11.1-x86_64.zip ... done plugin: downloading: https://unraid-dl.sfo2.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/stable/unRAIDServer-6.11.1-x86_64.md5 ... failed (SSL verification failure) plugin: https://unraid-dl.sfo2.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/stable/unRAIDServer-6.11.1-x86_64.md5 download failure (SSL verification failure) I can correctly resolve the URL. I have provisioned a certificate under Settings -> Management Access - CA-signed cert I can update docker containers successfully as well as plugins. I have tried to upgrade to the Next version (6.11.1) with the same error. Any help is appreciated.

R720: GPU is disabling LSI 9200-8e HBA (IT) controller
Hi, I have been running UNRAID on a Dell R510 for about 3 years and I upgrade to an R720 about 4 weeks ago. It has been running well. My Setup: Dell R720 with the following specs: UNRAID 6.10.3 Pro edition license Xeon E5-2670 115W CPUs 384GB RAM Onboard H710P HBA controller flashed to IT mode - Runs the 8 drives int he R720 Dual 1100W PSU iDRAC Broadcom integrated 4 port 2x 1GB + 2x 10GB NIC Riser 1: (3x X8 CPU2) Riser 2: (1x X16 CPU2 & 1x X8 CPU1) Riser 3: (2x X8 CPU2) - Note it is not the GPU Kit version I have the following cards in the server: Riser 1: LSI 9200-8e plugged into slot 1 (X8 CPU2) Riser 2: empty Riser 3: empty I have an MD1200 plugged into the LSI 9200-8e card above. This is working as expected. The LSI card posts on boot and the drives in the MD1200 can be seen by UNRAID under Unassigned Devices. The Problem: When I plug a GTX 1080 Founders Edition GPU into Riser 2 - Slot 4 (X16 CPU2), using the Dell GPU power cable plugged into the riser and the card, the LSI 9200-8e does not post anymore and it is not seen by the server. Everything else continues to work as expected, including UNRAID and the 1080 GPU. I can even see the 1080 GPU under UNRAID and am able to pass it through to a VM and it works. I tried moving the LSI card into slots 2 & 3 to see if it made any difference but I still get the same outcome. Any ideas? Do I have a conflict with the PCIe slots? How would I resolve this? Thanks. unraid-diagnostics-20220703-0936.zip

Unassigned Devices Preclear - a utility to preclear disks before adding them to the array
I worked it out! For anyone interested: 1. Make sure you have "Unassigned Devices Plus" plugin 2. Go into the settings of Unassigned Devices 3. Enable "Destructive Mode" 4. Click on the red X next to the drive serial to remove the partition Obvious now that I know

Unassigned Devices Preclear - a utility to preclear disks before adding them to the array
This is a great plugin! I incorrectly added 6 drives to my array before I used Preclear. I have since removed them from the array and they are showing up in UNRAID as "Unassigned Devices". Two are currently running Preclear as I didnt make the same mistake with these ones! The drives don't have any data on them and will go into a MD1200 DAS server that i will install shortly. How do I 'reset' the drives so that they show up under Preclear?
