I had an issue where my cache filled up and a bunch of shares were showing 'Some or All Files Unprotected' I dealt with the cache issue and it's fine now. My shares are still saying this though a bunch of apps aren't running correctly anymore. Do I need to do something to make unraid refresh its view of the shares and the cache drive now that I've addressed the full disk?diagnostics-20210616-1712.zip

Right, I think I had forgotten that. Rebuilding it now.

I rebooted twice but still the drive is disabled, I run the long and short smart tests and it didn't find anything. Is there something I need to do to enable the drive directly? I have attached the logs.

I rebooted again and everything is fine now, do you want me to include the diagnostics anyhow?

There is a good chance they are on Marvell ports yes (l have an expansion card in there), I had to do some hack like work around a while back after one of the OS updates to get the drives showing up again which got broken on a release. Everything has been pretty much fine since then though. Good tip on the parity it did seem to be excessive in how I was running it I probably should have checked the docs out. Let me try to do those checks shortly and get another set of data up.

I woke up today and my server was unresponsive and unreachable on the network. I had to hard reset it, and when it came back up three of the disks have a ton of read errors. Monday is parity running day which usually takes a day or two and is running now which is just increasing the read errors on those drives. I have attached the diagnostics dump from my server. What process should I follow, I'm guessing the disks may actually be fine and I just need to spin them down and then up or rebuild them. I followed the advice on this thread, and got it working.

This worked for me too, just so folks are clear and don't have to google I did the following: 1) edited /boot/syslinux/syslinux.cfg 2) added 'iommu=pt' to the line containing 'append initrd=/bzroot' 3) in the end it looks like: Thanks for the help this is great, I was freaking out that I was going to have to buy a new card and figure it out on a weekend. Everything seems to mostly be starting up and running fine.

Is there a known workaround? I see a lot of back and forth in the thread. If I were to replace the raid card, what is the generally recommended option here? I saw LSI Logic cards recommended on another thread, is there one that people like a lot?

I upgraded my server from 6.4.0 to 6.7.0 which had been running for a long time, ie 160+ days. When I rebooted my server when it came back up it couldn't find 3 disks or the cache. The array can't start so I'm not sure how to debug the disk issue. I have the syslog and diagnostics, attached .
