  1. Thanks for the quick reply. If my approach isnt weird ill just try to see if it fit my needs. Cheers !
  2. Hi, Whats the best practise to backup other files than appdata from the cachedisk to the array? At the moment im using CA Backup to backup the appdatafolder from my cache SSD to the array in case of failure of the cachedisk. I want other files to be on the cachedisk only, like "my documents" of all of our PC's and our nextcloud folders for quick acces and so there is no need for the array to spin up. If these files are only on the cachedisk, if it fails they will be lost. I thought of creating extra folders in the appdata folders so the fils will automaticly be backed up with the CA Backup but it feels like that isnt best practise. Any help would be appreciated. Rgds, Marty
  3. Hey all, I recently wanted to upgrade my Unraid Server to an AMD 3900X and X570 motherboard. After replacing my AMD Ryzen 1700 and X470 motherboard for the new hardware i noticed the powerusage was much higher and Nextcloud wasnt working anymore. I decided to return the new hardware and stick with my older 1700 and X470, after all the server had been running great for over a year and the hardware is only a year old. Now that my older hardware is back in the server i have a couple of issues; - All the new files written to the cachedrive remain there, the mover doesnt move them to the array. - When i want to create a new folder from a windows 10 file explorer i get an unexpected error 0x8000FFFF. - Nextcloud still isnt working, the container starts but from inside my house or outside i cant reach the server, when i load the webgui i get the following error on the webgui page: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator if this error reappears multiple times, please include the technical details below in your report. More details can be found in the server log. When i look at the logs i see 2 errors : Dec 14 09:50:06 Unraid nginx: 2019/12/14 09:50:06 [error] 7925#7925: *3037 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /admin/api.php?version HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "127.0.0.1" Dec 14 09:50:06 Unraid nginx: 2019/12/14 09:50:06 [error] 7925#7925: *3039 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /admin/api.php?version HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "localhost" -I have the idea to redo my cachedisk, clear it out and add it fresh but also through Krusader when i want to copy all the data to the array i get a weird IO error when i try to move files from the cache to a backup folder on the array. All of this seems like there is something wrong with the read/write permissions on all of my drives or something. Im on the verge of starting all over and reinstall the server from scratch but that is going to be a lot of work. I have attached the servers diagnostics in a zip file. Anyone some advice? Thanks in advance. Rgds, Marty unraid-diagnostics-20191225-1502.zip
  4. Hey all, I recently tried to upgrade my server from a AMD 1700 to an 3900 so i switched the CPU and mobo. Due to high powerusage i switched back to my 1700 CPU. When Unraid was booted on the new hardware Nextcloud stopped working but now i'm back on the old hardware Nextcloud still isn't working. The Docker does start but my devices cant connect and when i go the the webui i get the following error displayed in my browser. Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator if this error reappears multiple times, please include the technical details below in your report. More details can be found in the server log. When i go to the log in Unraid i get the following two errors: Dec 22 10:31:19 Unraid nginx: 2019/12/22 10:31:19 [error] 9180#9180: *905614 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /admin/api.php?version HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "127.0.0.1" Dec 22 10:31:19 Unraid nginx: 2019/12/22 10:31:19 [error] 9180#9180: *905616 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /admin/api.php?version HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "localhost" Does anybody know what i need to do to get Nextcloud working again? If i need to provide more information ill be glad to. Regards, Marty
  5. Hi All, I just upgraded the CPU and Mobo in my Unraiud Server. I went from AMD Ryzen 1700 and X470 to Syzen 3900X and X570. Migration went smooth only my windows 10 VM won't start anymore. When I try to start is I get the following error; internal error: child reported (status=125): unable to open /mnt/disks/Force_MP510_1936823800012888041C/Win10 NVME/vdisk1.img: Read-only file system I can see that the problem is that the image is read only but i have no idea how to make it writable again. This NVME drive is an unasigned drive wich i only use for my VM's, i don't understand after swapping motherbord and cpu the drive cant be written to anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Hi there, I just upgraded my CPU and mobo from a AMD 1700 and X470 to an AMD 3900 and X570. The install went as expected and the server booted up as expected. For some reason my Nextcloud isn't working anymore, the docker runs but when i connect to the UI i get the following msge: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator if this error reappears multiple times, please include the technical details below in your report. More details can be found in the server log. In the logs of the Unraid server i see 2 errors. Dec 14 09:50:06 Unraid nginx: 2019/12/14 09:50:06 [error] 7925#7925: *3037 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /admin/api.php?version HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "127.0.0.1" Dec 14 09:50:06 Unraid nginx: 2019/12/14 09:50:06 [error] 7925#7925: *3039 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Primary script unknown" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /admin/api.php?version HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "localhost" Anyone an idea? Rgds, Marty
  7. Doesn't that command do exactly the same as pressing the button in the GUI?
  8. I'm not, i mapped all the physical disks to the docker
  9. Hi, im trying Krusader atm and it seems to work. I can manually move files from the share folder in the cache drive to the same folder in the array so i think this wil work. Will report back.
  10. Hey, thanks ! The files shouldnt be in use as they are old converted VHS tapes wich i just copied to another share wich shouldnt make use of the cache. Will try to move though the option BRiT sugested. Cheers!
  11. Cheers again for the reply ! I wouldn't stick a beefy GPU in any other slot then the top one, just be sure. As i not 100% convinced I can use 2 GPU's and 1 NIC that require 3 full length slots so I decided to return the TUF mobo and ordered a Asus Strix X570 gaming wich does have 3 full length slots. Rgds
  12. Hey all, I have a small problem, my system AMD 1700, X470 mobo and 64 Gigs of ram works wonderfull. I have a 7x8TB aray (40TB usable) array and a 1TB NVME chache drive. Only my dockers and in home documents run of the cache and all my media and other stuff should be on the cache. Problem is that some media files wont move from the cache to the array so now my cache is kinda full. I have tried setting the media share to use cache "yes" so if the mover is activated the mover should move files from cache to array but it doesnt work. Also i have tried to choose different setting and activate the mover, nothing works and the files remain on the cache. Is there any manual way to move files from cache to the array or should i try to eject the cache drive (manually copy and move files i still need) and reinstall the cache again? Cheers !
  13. Thanks for the reply. What do u mean by checking if the new Asus X570 TUF mobo supports any PCI-E slot to boot with? I dont mind (if a 1st GPU is needed to pass a 2nd GPU through to a VM) if its slot 1, 2 or 3 because all slots have enough clearance. It's just that i never use the Unraid GUI so therefore (and also to save power) i have no need for a first "unraid cheap GPU" and i just want to run a powerfull GPU to pass through to a VM. Thing is i cant test it atm because i have no 2nd (powerfull) GPU available atm so i want to be sure if my new mobo (with only 2 PCI-E lanes) will be enough. Rgds, Marty
  14. Hi there, Does anybody know if it's possible to pass through a Nvidia GPU if there is only one GPU in an Unraid server? I'm using unraid for several months now and im loving it so far, i haven't tried GPU passthrough yet but i remember reading somewhere if you have a server with a CPU without a integrated GPU you have to have a GPU for unraid and you can only pass through a 2ng GPU to a VM. There is 1 GPU (Nvidia GT710) in my current server, its still in there only because i used it while installing unraid so i never use it. At the moment there is a AMD 1700 in my server but i already have new hardware like an AMD 3900X and an Asus TUF X570 mobo. My current mobo is a gigabyte x470 aorus ultra gaming wich had 3 full length PCI-E slots, enough to accommodate my Intel 10Bg nic and 2 GPU's. My new mobo, the Asus TUF X570 only has 2 full length full PCI-E slots, i can still send it back to the store. So this is the reason for my question, if you need a GPU for Unraid and a 2nd GPU to pass through to a VM my new mobo can't accommodate that. The reason for the passthrough is because i want to start using the VM as my main (gaming) pc in the livingroom so i can ditch my current gaming pc wich is physically in my licing room. The Unraid server is behind the wall in the closet where my gaming pc is so its much better if i have the main PC as a VM in the Unraid server. Im planning to use an 1080Ti (or ill buy a 2080Ti) as passthrough GPU for this VM. Side note, i have triend my new 3900X in the older X470 mobo (with latest F50 bios) but the PC didn't boot. I should work, maybe i was to fast and didnt give the system time to reboot a few times. If it should work in the older X470 board, should i just stick the 3900X in that board and dont bother at all buying a X570 board? I dont have any stuff that can take advantage of the PCI-E 4 speeds, mabe an NVME SSD in the future? Any thoughts are welcome and thanks. Rgds, Marty
  15. Is it possible to move from binhex-sabnzbd to binhex-sabnzbdvpn without having to manually put all my settings back in? Cheers ! Marty *edit* I found the post on page 2 in this threat and i deleted my non vpn container and installed the vpn container and pointed the /config path to the location where the non vpn config is. The new container with vpn doesn't start and i don't get an error messege. Am i doing something wrong?
