    You are on the right track with the unRAID trial. However, you don't have to reconfigure anything if you copy over the config folder from the current setup, which you would do for the new registered USB anyways.
     
    The only cavet with the trial is internet access is required to validate the trial.

    Perform the license purchase on the new USB, that then gives you the one time per year transfer if that one fails for any reason.

    Setup the new USB and then copy over the /config folder from the old USB to the new. Your setup will then remain intact.
