Hello everyone, I have had issues with my upgraded rebuild for sometime. Long story short if you have a SATA host controller with a AS Media Chip and the card is not seen by your MB. It is not the MB it is the card. You have to flash an older BIOS onto the card to get it to work correctly and the card must be updated in a non 600 series MB. This is the link that has the Bios firmware and the PDF that will explain how to upgrade the BIOS on the card. https://www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/expansion-cards/ECS06/ Scroll down to the File Support and look for the link that mentions the Intel 600 series chipset MB issues. The BIOS update will work with most AS Media chips such as my ASM1064. I used it with my Feb Smart PCI E 3.0 SATA III 6Gbps Expansion card. Feb Smart does not carry the updated BIOS or mentions the headache with the AS Media chips. I had to hunt for this and found it on giving a review telling of their issue with a similar card. Thank you, it just looked so strange that even after the drive is rebuilt my values did not look like the other drives. Since I have never replaced any of my drives before I'm a little cautious. If you look at the attachment first look can be deceiving.

Hello All, I Replace a failing hard drive over the week-end. I did the pre-clear and all checked good. I allowed the drive to rebuild itself. However, on the main UnRaid page the Reads values are what the Writes values should be. Example: my Read value shows 33 and my Write value reads 3,623,851. The values for the other drives show visa-versa. The drive I installed was a WD Black 2TB. The other older drives are 2TB Samsung HD204UI. Greetings, So I have UnRaid version 6.5.2. up and running. Never noticed that on some of the drives I have a few orphan files not in any directories. For example on the Main screen, I looked at the explorer folder to the right to see what is on the disk. It shows a few files not in a folder. How do I place them in a folder or even delete them? It won't let me drag and drop them. It only allows me to view or play the files. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

So I have followed this for Windows 7 help and tried just about everything. I did the upgrade from 5.12 to 6.41 and could see TOWER server on most of the computers (Windows 10 is a know issue, but that's another story) except my Windows 7 main computer. So I was about to do the Nuke option (Reinstall Windows) then my son asked if I had tried to go back to an earlier copy of my Restore Files. So I tried and went back to November of last year. Needless to say I now can see my TOWER server. I'm still trying to figure out what in the Windows update caused this if that was even the issue. I have disable any updates install form Windows. So happy to get my system working again. Hope this can help someone else. My head hurts, time for a nap.

Thanks...I heard about the bug ,but didn't think it was a big deal; I was wrong. Thanks guys for getting me straight. I have a much better under standing of whats going on.

What I want to do is see the files as I did before in the sub folder as they were in the previous version as folders in the drive ex: Disk 6- Folder TV- sub Folder A-L, Then I would see all the files with the size and format. I don't see that currently in Unraid 6. I have the share that show -up under "Tower" however none of the drives as before: Disk 2, Disk 3 etc.

O.K. I'm a bit slow on this. On the previous version of Unraid (5RC11), I was able to view, or map each of the drives on my Unraid network. However, in Unraid 6 all I see is shares and am not sure how to map and add and remove files as I had done before. So any help would be appreciated. I read the WiKi and I did not see anything related to this. Thanks.

Yes, So far for the past 2 week all has worked out pretty good. I am able to see the server when I post files and not drop off line as before. I now am in the same boat with some of the other member when I say it is very slow to transfer files. I think this will be a driver issue and will work itself out with more future updates of unRaid. Can someone please update the WIKI. I did not see the installation Upgrade instructions for it. Should I assume it is the same as RC 9? Not trying to be funny,but I don't want to go on a wild goose chase. Thanks.
