  1. yeah i agree it would be so nice to have a way to unmount a drive or pool and change it out and then mount it again with out having to stop all the drives or wake them all up when only 1 drive might need to be replaced because of a failed drive so far the only work around that i can think of is to have multiple unraids running in vms so you have the main unraid then you passthrough multiple hba's one to each vm that runs unraid so that way you can run your pools and arrays in there own unique unraid vm it is more expensive to have to buy more licenses and hba's but it is a work around but yeah it would be supper nice to have it all in one maybe one day
  2. Hello, I have a great idea for a new Feature the ability to mount and unmount unraid arrays & cache pools separately from one another like there could be a little line next to the array and each cache pool where you can check a little check box that says mount/unmount then you can scroll down to the normal "stop" button and push it and it will unmount only that one array or cache pool this would be a neat feature for when we have multiple arrays because we could unmount just one of the pools or arrays and replace a failed disk with out having to unmount all of the rest of the drives incase there is a parity check or rebuild going on with some of the other disks in a different pool or array or if someone else is using one of the pools or arrays but you need to fix something with out interrupting others that might be watching videos or reading or writing to other shares on a different array or pool and you could still use dockers and vms as long as you didn't unmount the main cache drive so that would be really good for those who run unraid on there main computer and use a vm to passthrough windows or any other system as there main machine so i could be in a vm and open up the web gui and unmount an array or pool to change a failed drive or to do maintenance with out having to power down the vm to do so hope that makes sense instead of a check box on each pool or array you could also just do a little window bar that when clicked it opens a little drop down box that will say all the pools and arrays that you have with little check box next to them and you just check the ones you want to unmount or mount and click yes and it would only unmount or mount those arrays or pools kinda like how when you make a "new config" it will ask if you want to keep pools array disks in the right order hopefully this makes sense i hope others think this would be a neat feature to if you think so be sure to like and comment so maybe enough people will see it and we can get it in a future release Thank you all for your time... 😎JP
  3. I pick Multiple Unraid Array Pools for V6.14.0 Thank you!😎
  4. Yeah it would be a great feature to have a setting to set the maximum size of a share if you wanted to or just leave it blank if you don't it could be added right under the line that says "Minimum Free Space" it could say "Maximum Free space" and work the same way just in reverse of course Thanks 😎
  5. i just wanted to give a update' I went ahead and installed V6.12.2 today and tested it again and everything is working normal Thank you to everyone that worked hard on fixing the bugs i really do appreciate it' Have a wonderful week
  6. i also tested it on V6.12.0-rc5 and V6.12.0-rc3 as well as V6.12.0 And V6.12.1 still same problem i also discovered that even if you don't add a drive to the array where the missing drive is it will start but the drive will not emulate the content it wont even mount it says unsupported format so this is defiantly a bug. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon
  7. Hi sorry for the late reply i was trying to make a quick video of the problem to show what i mean hopefully it will help and here is the video and the diagnostics to sapphire-diagnostics-20230624-1613.zip
  8. Hello, the other day i decided to upgrade one of my disks in the array so i changed it out for the bigger one then i started the array and found out it does not mount the drive it shows the little orange triangle saying it is emulated but there is no squire box on the left to click to see the files also on the far right it also says that the drive is not able to be mounted or no file system and if i scroll down to where the "start" and "Stop" buttons are at the bottom of the page it will say i need to format the drive' how ever if i wait till the rebuild of the drive is done then i click to "stop the array" then i click again to "start the array" then the drive will mount and i can see the shares and all the files are there. so it's only when it is in emulated mode that i am unable to see or access my files on that drive' this was tested on V6.12.0 and V6.12.1 with same results the file system on the array is zfs-encryption i also tried it on xfs-encryption and it does the same thing so is this a bug? or is this a future they are removing i hope not i really like this future to be able to have access to my files when in a rebuilt JP
  9. yes it seems to be working fine even after new config' i had talked to a tech person at unraid and they tested it on many servers and only found one that it could be replicated on so they said they would pass it along internally so i figured in rc3 or rc4 it should be fixed and then i tested when rc3 came out and everything seems to be working fine now i'm just glad it's fixed
  10. I have been testing it today and so far everything seems to be working normally the array is spinning down and staying spun down and also unassigned devices is to so i believe it has been fixed
