doesnt look right. the server is Fox Server
the very old one is FoxServer. At lest i know my backup issue was caused by a conflict with CA backup. Think ill have to accept that ive lost around 4 hours of game play

You have to ask on the Valheim Discord/Forums/Steam Community Hub if this is a known problem...
Have you checked the Docker template if everything matches your save game?
I don't think it's a problem with the container since I run it also and have no problems so far.
the docker template hasnt been changed and names etc match up.
my container just stopped and now the game save is 3mb again and its reset!!
i dont think its your docker. must be the game some how. just a bit gutted after time ive put in. copy of my save if you want to look.

Can it be that you have CA Backup running and that's why it skipped? Something must have happened between 2021-03-08_06.25.11 and 2021-03-09_04.12.34 but I can't tell you what seems like the container wasn't running or something eslse happened.
Can you try to restore the world on your local computer and see if it loads?
Eventually try to also completely delete the old world files and not just replace it, have you stopped the container in the first place, please also look into the template if anything has changed and if the world name is correct.
Ok to confirm.
If i restore my backup directly back into the appdata folder. files are 42mb each. if i start the container and join the server. the files reset to 3mb.
if i restore locally then copy over my world works. However all spawn points are reset.

Works restoring it locally but doesnt on the container. I sopped the container deleted all the file and pasted the backup. Still no luck.
CA Backup does run at the same time so that explains that. i left the game last night at 23:00 my friend player until 01:00 (loser). i havent made any changes to the docker.

There was no update of Valheim or the Container...
Did the Container update?
Have you enabled the Backup function of the container and have you tried to restore the backup from there?
I set the container to restart every night at 03:00 to install any updates
Yes the backup is enabled. although it seems to have skipped alot yesterday. we played the game untill 23:00. you can also see how the backup size decreases.
i restored one of the backups but it still doesnt load the world.
stopped the container, extracted one of the backups and pasted files over existing.

Even restoring my backups doesnt work. anyone know of a fix?

disaster, My vaheim server updated last night and now my world has reset :(. anyone else had this?

no, i say add a port maping in chromium docker and setup with 5900, thats it.
i know i did try that but it doesn't connect on that port. Page cannot be displayed on port 5900

@dfox1787 and as you use(d) firefox browser (i guess djoss one) you should be aware about the 2 different ports, its explained in his template about web front end and vnc direct ...
i did use it but it caused me issue so im trying to get chromium working. Are you saying use his guide but for chromium? option are not the same

@dfox1787 may show your setup what you did.
im pretty sure you are connecting wrong from guac to your chrome docker, in terms you use VNC protocol i guess, you have to point to the native vnc port in the chrome docker and by default this port aint added to the template.
by default the bridged port from the template is for the webui and not from vnc, you should add a port forward in the docker like 5900 5900 and no, this has nothing todo with security ... then guac can connect via vnc.
sample
i understand. By default the chromium container doesnt connect via VNC that correct? Guac and Chromium are on the same network using the default ports. i assumed this would just work like i am connecting locally.

I don't know how Guacamole works, does it connect to VNC or what, a little more information would be helpful since I don't know Guacamole.
If it can connect to VNC you can always create a port forwarding from the Container port 5900 to 5900 Host (or whatever Hostport do you want) and then should be able to connect to it.
It does use VNC and works with firefox but i have issue with that browser. https://technicalramblings.com/blog/remotely-accessing-the-unraid-gui-with-guacamole-and-vnc-web-browser/
port forwarding isnt secure. Guacamole is a platform that allows you to access RDP VNC to your servers is in a more secure way. It has mfa to access to the dashboard where you can access your systems.
This chrome version doesnt like what ever settings i use to VNC to it from guacamole.

My device settings look totally different, but to me it looks like you are forwarding 180 to 180 and 4443 to 4443 instead of 80 to 180 and 443 to 4443. The scrceenshot is verry cropped so maybe its on there, but it should state the ports 80 and 443 someware in the port forward.
What you can do is change the ip in the forward to your pc, and check if the ports are indeed open.
ill get a screen shot of my settings because all im showing is the port open, however i use the same settings for translating ports to some of my other dockers which are working fine.

Looks like your portforwarding is missing. You need to port forward 80 & 443 to 180 & 4433 on 192.168.1.50
if you look at my screen shots i have shown the ports are open and are getting forwarded using port redirection on my draytek fw

Assuming you're on 6.8.3+, missing icons would mean that for whatever reason the system was unable to download the icon. It'll keep retrying every time you hit the dashboard or docker pages. But, you may have DNS resolution issues and need to set static DNS addresses (208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220) in Settings - Network
fml the loading issue has happened again. please see diagnostics attached

Ok. Post your diagnostics. Also, vast majority of the GUI is coded such that if it doesnt load with exactly 120 seconds it will never load regardless of how long you wait.
i ended up getting desperate and deleted the docker image. its working now. thanks
