Server doesn't boot witha new HP NC523SFP Dual Port 10GbE
So i had a another dual port ago card that was flaky so i removed it and purchased a HP NC523SFP Dual Port 10GbE. Unraid attempts to boot, bootloader screen loads, and as bzimage is loading the server resets. When I remove the card server boots fine. Is there any way to troubleshoot this ? Thanks!

5800x3d upgrade from 3900x for gaming (Will Vcache help in a VM?)
So unfortunately the only game I care about is FS 2020 which is very CPU and GPU intensive. (Have a 3090, but currently CPU bound) I'm not keen on upgrading the platform and happy with AM4 that I'm on. The 3900x in a VM is not cutting it. My question is if I were to get the 5800x3d given that it's the best CPU for FS 2020, would all the features that I could potentially gain (3d cache and higher boosting) be accessible via unraid. That is, does the current linux kernel support boosting to the 5800x3d values, and would the 3d cache be as effective given I have a VM ontop of everything. Is Qemu aware of this extra layer of cache and would the performance improvment be passed on to the VM?

Upgrade from 6.8.3 to 6.9.2, docker DNS is pointing to 127.0.0.11
From memory this only affected some dockers. In the extra parameters field I added --dns DNS server Sent from my SM-G988W using Tapatalk

do you have dynamix system temperature? It's a plugin.

No Ryzen 3900x driver on x470 in 6.9.2
Bingo that was it. I am only seeing boosting to 4.15 Ghz. Is that configurable in the bios ?

No Ryzen 3900x driver on x470 in 6.9.2
I can't seem to get the proper driver running for my 3900x cpu on an x470 motherboard. Running the penultimate bios. In tips and tweaks it says no driver, with no performance boost option selectable: Any reasons why this may be ? tower-diagnostics-20210804-1459.zip

Upgrade from 6.8.3 to 6.9.2, docker DNS is pointing to 127.0.0.11
I have a docker only vlan with no IPv4 assignment in the networking tab. On 6.8.3 all containers were happily accessing the right DNS server which is a pihole docker container. However after upgrading to 6.9.2 containers all have /etc/resolv.conf set to 127.0.0.11. Where was the change that is preventing the dockers from accessing the DNS as normal?

Tips and Tweaks Plugin to possibly improve performance of Unraid and VMs
Running 6.9.2, 3900x on a x470 board. In tips and tweaks it says "no drivers" and Turbo boost option is blank. Governers are selectable. Guide: How To Use Rclone To Mount Cloud Drives And Play Files
My issue is that on server reboot some of my docker containers seem to boot faster than the rclone mount comes up. For example emby keeps giving me can't find media stream errors and from within the docker console no files show up. Rebooting the docker containers picks up the mount properly. Anyone else have this problem ? Any way to delay docker startup on array start ? Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

[Support] Djoss - Nginx Proxy Manager
I'd love to change my ports too, in order to be able to use split DNS instead of NAT reflection and send internal network requests to "https://nextcloud.mydomain.com", and have them go to the proper port 443, without leaving the network.

[Support] [Depreciated] FlippinTurt PiHole DoT-DoH
I have a separate VLAN for docker containers (br0.20) , and a separate VLAN for management of unraid. Using static IP. Since the container is pulling the DNS server from the main unraid interface, Pihole is trying to cross the VLAN to the DNS server on the other VLAN for connectivity checks which isn't ideal. 10.10.20.28 is pihole's static address, however it's 10.10.10.1 that responds (which is what the DNS is set to for my management vlan). Is there any way to clean this up, and keep pihole contained on it's own VLAN without having it cross boundries? Also I have these strange dns requests in logging which I can't make sense of. "*.in-addr.arpa"

[support] rix's Docker Repository
Edit, nevermind, had to use a "Desktop App" auth token, as opposed to a "Webapp", as there is no more "Other" option Hey there. I'm failing to understand how to run step 2, and sign into google headlessley? I tried running chromium-browser --user-data-dir=/config --no-sandbox https://photos.google.com on another linux box, and then copying over the files from the user-data directory to /config, but get the following error: root@Tower:~# docker exec -it GooglePhotosSync gphotos-sync /storage 02-02 14:23:46 WARNING gphotos-sync 2.14.0 2021-02-02 14:23:46.929270 02-02 14:23:46 ERROR Process failed. [SUPPORT] testdasi repo
Regarding pihole, I have a situation where I have a segmented Vlan for all dockers, which means when pihole tries to talk out to the Unraid specified vlan, it tries to go to another network. Is there anyway to hardcode something that is on the same vlan/subnet?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Duplicati
Haven't tried it, but I'm of the opinion you should really test your backup anyways. Try duplicati, and pretend you had a catastrophic failure. How quickly can you restore using it ?

[KERNEL]custom kernel build with treaks (2020.03.07 v6.8.3|5.5.8|4.19.108|NAVI|VEGA|NFSv4|R8125|Zen2)
Following up with this, I am also trying to figure out why I am getting some very high temperatures (or perhaps reported temps) on the 3900x. Corsair Obsidian 1000D, and a Noctua NH-D15S with 1 140mm fan and one 120. At idle with this kernel unraid is reporting 52C, while under all core load I max out at 84C, with boost clocks still going up as high as 4.1-4.2Ghz. Motherboard is MSI x470 carbon pro, with all settings as Auto in the bios. Is there any chance of incorrect temperatures reported on this kernel/cpu combo ?

[KERNEL]custom kernel build with treaks (2020.03.07 v6.8.3|5.5.8|4.19.108|NAVI|VEGA|NFSv4|R8125|Zen2)
This kernel doesn't allow me to select "turbo boost" under Tips and Tweaks. Is there another change that needs to be made in order to enable this feature ? (x470 board with 3900x)

[Plugin] CA Appdata Backup / Restore v2
What does the following scenario signifiy? Had a disaster, whole cache drive was deleted. No USB backup so recreated it from scratch. Restored a backup of appdata, I can see all the folders for the dockers in appdata, however nothing shows up under the docker tab, or under Apps/previous apps. Do I manually have to reinstall all apps?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Duplicati
Some recommendations I have seen were to use Borg, and to use just use rclone to copy over the files(or the rclone uoload/mount/unmount script) used on furms . I haven't explored thay yet fully, but will report back how it works. Duplicati is out for me. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Duplicati
A public service announcement regarding duplicati. Duplicati is still in beta ( which this container runs) I recently lost my cache drive which means the I lost all my docker containers and duplicati config. No sweat, I had a backup of the config. After restoring the config, I tried to restore a backup of the ~20GB file containing my docker backups. Since the database of files was lost with the duplicati docker, duplicati has to rebuild the database. Whatever code performs this task is broken. A 40GB restore from a 600GB backup, is tracking on taking about 20 days. I bring down all the files from the cloud, and looks like the restore will take about 9 days, even when running from local disk. This seems to be a well known problem with this software. Google duplicati recreating database for similar stories. If you are relying on duplicati for your primary backup, I recommend you google the above msg, and test your back. (delete your docker container / duplicati config, and try a restore as if you had a catastrophic failuer) Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

The backups stopped running when the server went down, so as far as I know, no.
