  3. Ive noticed when encoding its really slow less then 1x (nvidia h265 defaults, 4 workers) when the content is on a standard spinning hard drive, if the content is on a ssd its much much faster, Im using a ram disc(64gb/32gb available) any ideas how to encode faster?
  4. Same here, was pulling my hair out thinking it was adguard or my xfs cache upgrade....all along it was changing from router dns to 8.8.8.8....running for 5yrs without issue until now....all sorted! 8.8.8.8 for the win

  6. Thank you my firend, for years I could never get write cache enabled, the command smartctl -s wcache-sct,on,p /dev/sdX worked for me and my shucked Seagate ST4000VN000 & ST6000VX0001 drives, good vibes all around!

  13. Worked it out!, helps to make notepad+++ your default editor in 7zip, lets see it it works for me!

  15. Ok...drumroll.....the fix was simple! I simply had to reset my network settings on my windows 10 host and WHAM! gui pops up without issue!

Hi I ran a gather to a single drive, upon completion the other drive shares are still showing the same folders I 'gathered', do I need to run again? what am I doing wrong?, I did miss a red box about permissions? perhaps that's the issue? problem was it pops up for a few seconds and disappears, Im hoping there isnt any double ups!

  19. Hi, Ive searched however still not 100% clear as to best practise around physically rearranging an existing arrays harddrives into different slots within the array Can anyone help with a step by step breakdown?

Ok, googlefu...changed the NCQ of the array drives from 1 to 31 and speed has increased dramatically, doing a clear on 2 drives, gone from 38mb/s to 130mb/s as soon as I made the change, I am a happy camper!, I was about to hit the go button on another HBA controller! Command to change your NCQ level is echo 31 > /sys/block/sdX/device/queue_depth sdX is your device, echo XX is the level you want to change to
  21. I guess there is more going on, same drive external of array, fast, within array slow, NCQ tweak changed the game for me so far!
