Thanks Johnnie, I should have said that I have previously got him to change the cable between the N40 and the Silverstone. I had seen previous CRC errors and I’ve seen you mention that it could be cable faults usually 👍 so that was my first port of call, we do heed your advice on here 😁

I know this is old tech now but I am trying to help a friend out with a issue. Basically he has a N40L Microserver with 6 gig of ram and also it has a Startech ESata card which connects to a Sliverstone 4 bay enclosure with two disks in it. He called me up as it had errored and wasn't moving files from Sab that Sonarr had downloaded. The Sab and Sonarr dockers had disappeared, the cache drive was full. And also Disk 5 was disabled. So I have moved all the files off the cache, tidied up the cache drive, reinstalled the dockers from a backup and then upgraded the server to the latest Unraid - it was on 6.8.2. I have managed to get Disk 5 working again and the server is now going through parity check and correct. The reason for the check is that disk 6 is now showing errors. My gut feeling is that the Startech card is faulty but I have attached the Diagnostics for someone smarter than me to see if they can give me a point in the right direction to give me some guidance. The attached diagnostics are after having upgraded so are missing the info for Disk 5 being disabled. tower-diagnostics-20200414-1816.zip

Ok preclear is done and my unbalance so I have rebooted the server and have now attached the log file. The server had been up for 6 minutes and I had two lockup’s in the WebUI in that time. Only small ones and it started working again. sometimes it locks completely and the only way to get back is to reopen another tab. it doesn’t happen on my iPhone (iOS 13.2) tower-diagnostics-20191121-1351.zip

Wow that's great news! I have no idea why I had to do it on mine. When I googled the problem I found mentions of adding extra lines to the preferences file on the plex forum (in the unraid section) - obviously that didn't work for me. I almost rolled back to rc4 as I thought it was something to do with that. I wish I knew more about what and why it happened.

I completely blew my docker image away. So started from scratch as Plex had only been installed for 2 days as I wanted to test it out. No network changes at all. I have been running between 8 - 13 dockers. Have you tried the ssh tunnel? These were my settings

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong with the network? Sorry to the OP to go off topic I like a challenge and if you think its not right my OCD will make me want to get to the bottom of the problem. As I said earlier I am no IT expert but I'm not daft.

This sounds similar to something I experienced a couple of days ago. I applied an update to a couple of days old plex install via docker and also updated to rc5. I spotted that I had installed the configfolder on the wrong drive (think the lsio template assumes no cache drive?) so changed that to my appdata folder and then suddenly I have no server. Suddenly I can't find my server in plex, I kept getting the screen telling me to download the software. As this was a new install of plex (I had never used it before) I thought that's ok I will just reinstall everything thing for it. So I started from scratch with a new fresh install. I still had the same issue! I can login in via the gui or the iPad app but no server. Out of desperation I wiped my docker image and reinstalled everything from Squids backup/restore app and it still didn't work. Eventually after lots of searching I found that I needed to open a ssh tunnel and connect to the server via that and then it all started to work. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200288586-Installation Now I just followed instructions lol as I had no idea what I was doing as I'm no it guru - I fix cars for a living lol. I have the same issue as dheg on my system. I discovered the issue as I was going to blow my docker away due to the plex issue below. I am correct in thinking that the restore tab should show the locations of the backups (previous ones) as that is blank too. I've also lost access to my plea server. I did update to rc5 last night as well as apply the other plugin updates that came down. I can't grab a diag file right now, will try and get it in the AM for you.

Sorry for wasting your time it appears I have fixed it. The docker was working ok, I could open the web ui or the app and see all my media it just wouldn't play. See below. I went back into the docker just to check that everything was correct with the mappings etc, and clicked advanced. I then spotted that the transcode directory was empty. I don't know why or how as it had all been working OK the last time I used it - which was about 2 weeks ago. I guess that it was just coincidence that the day after the update was when I discovered the problem. Sorry for a false alert.

I had an email last night saying there was an update for this docker so applied it. I can't get any videos or music to play. I've tried rebooting the server as well as restarting the emby server. Anyone know if I can roll back to a previous version easily. I have backup/restore installed but don't particularly want to restore all my dockers as for some reason emby isn't in the list of apps.

Just rechecked and yes you're right I couldn't get it to change in Win 7 on Firefox or IE. I used the iPad app to make the changes. There are issues with the web ui loading in Safari on the iPad too which I know have been mentioned on the Emby forum. I knew I'd experienced it in some combination, I was trying to change the transcoding directory when I came across it.

Is that using the iPad app? If it is I went though the same issue. I had to change it from my laptop (win 7). It might have been the other way round now I can't recall - it didn't work on one of my devices that's for sure lol. Pretty certain it involved safari though

You will need notepad++ if you are doing this on a Windows pc then just navigate to your appdata folder on your server and then into your air video hd folder and look for the server properties file. Open with notepad++ then edit to your hearts content. Take note of the text at the top that instructs you how to reload airvideo server whilst still running after you have made your edits. https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

I am currently using a HP N54L and have found that it struggles in certain applications - mainly media streaming (Airvideo HD and a couple of streams) and then I had this come through in an email https://www.serversplus.com/hp_ml10_cashback What do the good folks on here think? Is it enough of an upgrade to run Openelec on the server and support Air Video HD with a maximum of three people streaming (this is worst case scenario). I guess I will need another graphic's card for OE? I currently run the following dockers AirVideo HD Airvideo - soon to go as the above seems very stable Sabnzbd Sonarr Kodi Headless MarisDB OpenVPN-AS The only other things are a few plug ins like unassigned devices and powerdown package. I have held off from things like Emby,Plex because I didn't want to tax the current cpu and I really wasn't sure there was enough grunt to run all these dockers I keep wanting to try.

I have asked this question on the Openelec forum and I have had one suggestion but unfortunately that hasn't worked so I thought as there are some very clever Linux people in here I thought that you guys might like to give it a shot for me. I am using the Neon skin on my pc in the living room and always suspend it rather than turn it off. What I would like to do is when it wakes from suspend to default to the movies button on the home screen. Currently it stays on the shutdown button when it wakes. I have been searching around the various Wiki's and on the OE forum and I have cobbled together the script below - now I have never written a script in my life and its no surprise it doesnt work lol. I have created the folder sleep.d in the configfiles folder on my pc. Yeah I remember that! I still remember trying it the first time and being absolutely amazed that I was watching a video on my phone in bed, and getting frustrated that my then gf was not in the remotely bit impressed by it... Airvideo is the best I have found so far. My mother uses it too via my server and she is 150 miles from me - given she is 75 years old I think that stands testament to how easy it is to use. Looking forward to the (soonish) update for my new Ipad pro.

From what I can see from your server properties file you need to do some editing to it. I'm no expert by any means as you can see from my earlier post lol. If you look at my server config file you should be able to see what needs doing. The # symbol needs to be added to the single user line and removed from the other shared folder(s) The same needs to happen with your additional users. I believe in Linux having the # symbol means that the "comment" will be ignored. I hope that makes sense as I have said I'm no expert but trying to give a bit back as I've had so much good help on here. Edit to add that I have found that you usually need to restart the container after messing in there or just the link at the top of the server properties file to restart the air video server. It seems to stop the server being seen from the app. Then you can re add it and pop the pin in

Why not run Linux on the netbook and use the Linux Air Video server on that? You lose having to depend on Windows and all the associated bloat. The original air video was brilliant on my older Unraid server and I use the HD version in a docker on my current server - a N54 HP.

Hi Shrimpyabb I have attached some screenshots of the docker and the properties file.

I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the volume mappings to my video files with this. I can get access to the server and I can see my video folder "Movies" but there are no files contained within. I have tried copying the volume mapping from the normal AirVideo as obviously nothing has changed and that just works. If I click on the volume mapping from the docker page for AirVideoHD it will take me to my videos so I am really struggling to understand what I am doing wrong. Shrimpyaab's post helped massively in getting connection and so forth just stumped as far as the rest of it is concerned. Any advice gratefully received Thanks
