  1. Thats awesome. Just remember when you use 1 CPU in a dual board then some of the PCI and memory slots will be unusable. Your Mobo Manual would tell you which.
  2. DId you make any recent changes? Hardware or in the bios? I would also remove the dims and try them one at a time...same with the CPUs. I bet its a memory issue though But if you made a hardware change then revert it.
  3. So I am trying to mess with the Ads list because I am still seeing Ads on places like Forbes.com and Amazon. I added all the lists from Wally3ks Blocklist https://wally3k.github.io/ But they are not working. Ive uploaded the logs In the logs I see a bunch of invalid domain errors. Here are some examples: [i] Target: http://sysctl.org/cameleon/hosts [i] Received 20569 domains, 20569 domains invalid! Sample of invalid domains: - # Last updated : 2018-03-17 - 127.0.0.1 localhost - 127.0.0.1 0.r.msn.com - 127.0.0.1 0.start.bz - 127.0.0.1 000dom.revenuedirect.com [i] Target: https://s3.amazonaws.com/lists.disconnect.me/simple_tracking.txt [i] Received 38 domains, 3 domains invalid! Sample of invalid domains: - # Ad filter list by Disconnect - # License: GPLv3 - # Contact: support [at] disconnect.me Music I did some research and people are saying that "easy lists" are no longer being supported. So how do I add them then? Do I just add the domains in the files individually? Or is this a different issue? pihole logs.txt
  4. Your Thumbnails should be downloaded on your array. They shouldn't be accessing them across the internet. Perhaps Pihole is adding some extra load on your unraid server. Or the location where plex metadata is has too much data on it. Have you tried moving your Plex Metadata to a cache folder? This sped up my resolution of Thumbnails on all of my devices.
  5. What port are you using? Is there a port conflict on Unraid? Can you telnet to that ip on the port you are using for pihole?
  6. Hey Guys..I had this issue and resolved it by doing the following: First go into Settings > Network and make sure Bridging is enabled. Next go to Settings > Docker and make sure "Host Access to Custom Networks" is enabled. If they are both enabled and you still do not have the br0 interface run the following commands from terminal to rebuild the network stack. rm /var/lib/docker/network/files/local-kv.db (First ran this to delete the local-kv.db) /etc/rc.d/rc.docker restart (then this restarted the docker service) Now these are two separate commands. Once I did all of that, the interface came up for me. Let me know if this works.
  7. I used the vfio-config plugin to get a 4 port NIC to pass through. I had to enable acs override to get the IOMMU groups to break up first. Then I used the plugin to create the cfg file. These are the for ports I am trying to pass through IOMMU group 25: [8086:10bc] 08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) IOMMU group 26: [8086:10bc] 08:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) IOMMU group 27: [8086:10bc] 09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) IOMMU group 28: [8086:10bc] 09:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) The config file adds all 4 of them BIND=08:00.0 08:00.1 09:00.0 09:00.1 But I only get 2 ports to show in my VM When I look in the plugin I only have a green orb next to the ones that are being passed through. Any idea how I can get all 4 ports to pass through?
  8. I do see that my interface eth1 shows also that I can assign an IP to it under network settings but eth2 does not. SO maybe its something in the unraid holding onto this for some reason?
  9. I got it working. There is a plugin called vfio-pci cfg. And it creates the config file required for the new way to do passthrough mentioned here
  10. Ok.. I have them all in their IOMMU Groups and enabled ACS override to separate them into their IOMMU groups However, only two of my 4 ports are showing. I looked in the vfio-cfg file and I see all 4 ids added BIND=08:00.0 08:00.1 09:00.0 09:00.1 And here is my IOMMU groups IOMMU group 25: [8086:10bc] 08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) IOMMU group 26: [8086:10bc] 08:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) IOMMU group 27: [8086:10bc] 09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) IOMMU group 28: [8086:10bc] 09:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82571EB/82571GB Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 06) In my VM the two that are showing: In my network settings these two are not being passed: Is there a reason I cannot get all 4 to pass through?
  11. I figured it out. But to answer your question, I specifically checked the 4 port nic 8086:10bc. Somehow it seems my interface rules got changed when doing the vfio config. I saw one of the 4 port nics was now assigned to eth0 and my on board mobo nic was assigned to eth2. I switched them back and rebooted and bam...I have internet. So let me try this tool again. And no...The device I am passing through does not reside in its own IOMMU group. So I will need to enable ACS override, correct? 12. So I added the plugin. Then I checked the devices I wanted to use for passthrough, rebooted and now I cannot access the Unraid Web GUI. I tried turning on ACS override to break up the IOMMU group and still cannot access the Web GUI or Ping the server from my PC. I unchecked the devices from the plug in and turned off ACS Override and rebooted again. Still cant ping or access. Went into my flash drive and deleted the config file. Still cant ping or access. What do I need to do next?
  13. I do not seem to have the Vfio-pci.cfg file on my flash drive Is there a way to get it there. Im on version 6.8.3
  14. I am trying to pass my 4 port GB NIC to pass through to my pfSense VM. IOMMU shows enabled on Unraid but I do not have a IOMMU setting in my bios. I tried enabling ACS override and even VFIO allow unsafe interrupts I cannot get it to work and hoping someone could help.
  15. So I make some changes...the NIC shows...but I cant launch....IF I add this vfio-pci.ids=8086:10bc,1022:43d5,1022:43c8,8086:1539 I cant access the webgui remotely The server isnt even pingable So I dunno
  16. So I got the card to show under other PCI devices but I get this error: internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2020-05-11T22:05:11.723146Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=0000:08:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.3,addr=0x0: vfio 0000:08:00.0: group 15 is not viable Please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver. I tried adding vfio-pci.ids=8086:10bc I also did vfio-pci.ids=8086:10bc,1022:43d5,1022:43c8,8086:1539 I did this both under flash just like spaceinvaders IOMMU group video. I also enabled ACS override. Nothing worked. IOMMU is enabled on my unraid server and no I do not have a bios setting to change it from auto to on.
  17. I installed a 4 port 1gb Nic and I am trying to pass it through to a FreeBsd VM. However, when I create the VM I do not have any interfaces under "Other PCI Devices". I went through spaceinvader Ones IOMMU tutorial and I cant get it to show in this vm. Appreciate any help to get this working. I tried editing the flash config with just the NIC 8086:10bc. I tried enabling ACS override. I even tried doing the acs override manual edit that spaceinvader one talks about in his "Breaking up IOMMU groups". I can get them to break up but the NIC still won't show under "Other PCI Devices". Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Its not an option in my bios. I already checked. However on unraid it shows enabled
  19. So as I said ... I watched Space Invader ones IOMMU passthrough video. I did that already. I also did the ACS over ride and altered the ACS override with the first bridge in the IOMMU group. None of them work. I can get the VM to launch but it does not boot all the way and there are no options in "Other PCI Devices". I would appreciate some advice thats not in Space Invader Ones videos.

  21. I ended up fixing it. I had to do the following: Bridge mode was enabled but in Settings > Docker "Host Access to custom networks" was disabled. So I needed to stop the docker service and enable that. Even after doing that I did not see a custom option for network adapter and when I ran the following command there was no br0 interface docker network ls So I did the following to rebuild the network stack rm /var/lib/docker/network/files/local-kv.db (First ran this to delete the local-kv.db) /etc/rc.d/rc.docker restart (then this restarted the docker service) After that I was able to see the br0 interface.
  22. I try to run this command. I can remove the local-kv.db but I cannot restart rc.docker. When I do an ls-a to that location, I do not have rc.docker. I am running into the same issue where I cannot select br0 for network device.
  23. I have Bridging enabled but its not showing. Any idea on how to get this to show?
