  1. I have enough ram in the system to cache that entire file that I am transferring an I do know that the ssd does have sustained speeds of 550MB/s.
  2. I created a share that uses ONLY uses the cache which is an ssd with approx 500-600MB/s read and write. When transferring a file to and from the share, the first 10-20% of the transfer will do the full speed of the ssd but then falls off to about 120MB/s when writing to and approx 50MB/s when reading from the share. I do have 10gbe using jumbo at 9000 and I am also using windows SMB to transfer the file. I have tested the connectivity between the server and the pc and it will saturate a 10gbe connection so I do not think that is the issue. unjamie-diagnostics-20200523-1432.zip
  3. I just tried switching between legacy and UEFI mode with it untaped and I get the same results.
  4. I have an Intel X540 10gb controller to be exact 561FLR-T, when I install it in a lane the system does not boot. So I decided to try the tape method to tape pins b5 and b6 which is sometimes the solution for this kind of issue. The system did boot but now I do not see the device in lspci. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? Thanks
  5. I can find it as a pcie device in unraid and in the vm after passing it through. I cannot find the nic as a network interface even though that nic should be supported by the distro.
  6. I figured out the issue, it was the VM machine type. I set it to Q35-2.4 and now passes correctly. But now I cannot find it as a network interface.
  7. I tried ubuntu and am still getting the same error: I think it has to do with the pass through.
  8. From what I read yes becuase it is based off Debain.
  9. I managed to pass them to the VM but while booting the vm I get an error: I am using VyOS distro.
  10. I do see them as pcie devices and they do have their own grouping. I will try to stub them.
  11. I was hoping to pass it through to a vm which does support it, but, the cards dont even show up on the pcie devices list under vm settings. Is there a way to force pass it?
  12. I recently purchases two LPE12002 Pcie Nics. In unraid under system devices, I can see them. Yet under Network Settings I do not see them as an interface. I have tried passing them through to a vm but in a vms settings they never show up on the pcie devices list. What do I need to do to get these cards working?
  13. I believe that fixed my issue. as soon as I enabled it it jumped from 26MB/s to 173 MB/s 😃
