  2. Hey guys. I've noticed for a very long time now that more often than not when trying to access my server network path on a Windows machine that it is slow to connect. When double clicking it to access my shares I get the "network path was not found" and can often take a few minutes for it to show up. Is there anyway to speed this up? If more so happens when I turn a notebook or PC on to access it.

  3. Hey guys I had this weird issue pop up out of nowhere over the past few days where my connectivity on my unRaid server will just disconnect for a few seconds then reconnect. I noticed this when watching a movie where it was buffering quite frequently. When this occurred I tried to open my unraid dashboard but it took much longer than usual to login.

Checking the logs soon after I seen this which tells me the network is falling over.

I replaced the ethernet cable from my server did some testing it and it continues. Nothing was changed on my server nothing new added.

I got an Ubiquiti network in my home - Switch is a 16 Port PoE 150W. Nothing else on my network disconnects it's just my unraid server.

Full diagnostics attached. I do have another ethernet port in my wall that I could use so I will put it in that keystone and see if it continues.

I've also setup Uptime Kuma to monitor and sure enough you can see where it's gone down. Does anyone have any ideas?

I use NginxProxyManager in conjunction with Cloudflare to create an SSL certificate for the Jellyfin subdomain on my personal domain.

Kind of hoping for a free alternative then paying for a domain etc. I know I can setup a tunnel with wireguard but my work blocks VPN access and I want to use jellyfin to access my music. Plex is blocked at work but jellyfin isn't as I tested it with my seedbox.

I'm guessing a reverse proxy is the only (proper) way with Jellyfin?

  5. So i setup my unraid years ago copying spaceinvader (love that guy) BUT. I think it's come to the point where I may need to setup all of my shares and disks differently and all doing this years later. I want to have a single share for data then have movies/downloads/tvshows etc under that one share spread across the my disks in the array. Have a system like what trash-guides setup. https://trash-guides.info/Hardlinks/How-to-setup-for/Unraid/

Currently, I have separate shares for everything atm on 3 separate drives. 4K - SD - HD - TV - Music - Documents - Photos etc. Whats the best plan of attack to centralized it all and have it shared across the array? Am I shit out of luck? NO parity is present at the moment I wanted to see what I can do here before I put a 20TB parity drive in the system.

So my question is. How do I go about this? Would I create a new share called 'data' add my sub folders in there. Then what?

  6. My docker is filling up with what I have a feeling is with plex transcoding.

    image.png.e4fec1439b4fc47d65e59ef7a60c3e72.png

This normally sits at around 8GB. How do I have transcodes go elsewhere and where is the best place to put them? I am using a nvidia 3060 Ti for transcoding.

Here are my map configurations. Am i mapping straight back to the docker container? Can someone please tell me what I should map to?

  7. How do I go about doing a full clean install of plexpass? Making sure there is no settings or remnants remaining after deleting the docker container. Binhex-plexpass folders have been deleted from the machine (well appear to be) but when i re-download the container, and enter my config and then enter the plex webUI it's still showing my old libraries and settings, albeit in a non-usable state.

The should not cause any issues.  I take it one step further.  I have a share for each media type so my host paths are mnt/user/movies, mount/user/photos, mount/user/tv, etc. Of course, this requires a host path --> container path mapping for each share/media type.

In the case you presented, you could have just one host--->container mapping like /mnt/user/media-->/media and then in Plex your library mappings would be /media/[media type folder name] e.g. /media/movies for movie content.

Perfect. Makes sense. thanks for that.

I'll note my original paths down in case something goes pear shaped lol

  9. I am doing a little "house keeping" its been a long time since I setup my shares etc. Just for simplicity sake I wanted to change a few things around.

    My host path is /mnt/user/

    image.thumb.png.c79d9c89f33acb375d527a263bde959d.png

Will I run into any issues if I want to set a new path that is /mnt/user/media then pop all of my folders into that one folder then change directories in binhex-plex config accordingly?

  10. I have NVIDIA GPU transcoding working on my server. But I have a fair bit of ram i'd like to utilize also for transocding. But I do not think it is working as I am still getting very low ram usage according to unaid and plex dashboard.

    EXTRA PARAMETERS: --runtime=nvidia --device=/dev/dri --mount type=tmpfs,destination=/transcode,tmpfs-size=3200000000 --no-healthcheck

    image.png.95156b4718d0d6d958521be75de48bed.png

Can someone please tell me what am i doing wrong and how to rectify it so I can utilize some ram?

Ok and I assume none of your missing data is found in that path is this correct? If this is the case then I can only assume file system corruption of some manner if you have a backup of your app data then I would suggest a restore.

All data is in that path. I downloaded your delugeVPN version, and everything is working. Something is up with the none VPN Binhex Deluge version that was recently updated. Like i mentioned even trying to add paths in preferences and clicking apply and ok nothing happens. Happy to take a video for you if you like.

this is what i was referring to, ok that sounds fine, next thing to check is that the path set for /config is set to the location of your  config files on the host, perhaps for some reason this got reset, data corruption or pebkac perhaps:-

left click icon and select edit, scroll down to show more settings and confirm the host path for /config is set to the location you store your config files in e.g. /mnt/cache/appdata/delugevpn/ if its set wrong then correct and apply.

The config is pointing to the right parth - image.thumb.png.2743d3c948831cd8b1b84bafc5f652aa.png

check cache shares, if they arent set to cache only then its possible files/folders will be moved via the 'mover' to the array.

Not sure I follow? I've had my cache set to be the downloads destination then once complete they get moved to the array?

Not sure why updating to the latest update broke this in deluge? Paths are the same as it was before the latest update on the 4th (if memory serves me correct?)

In preferences even adding the directory clicking apply does nothing. As in once I input a path clicking apply than ok. Then opening preferences again the paths I put are empty. Deluge VPN with the same shares works fine after testing it. I think there is an issue with this specific version?

I'm happy to give you any information needed to try and get this sorted mate :)

Only my downloads share is Yes:Cache then when downloads are done it gets moved to DISK 8.

Appdata and system are set to Cache Only

  14. My binhex-deluge just updated now all of my seeding torrents are missing? My paths set also completely disappeared from within deluge and when I enter them they do not save?

I noticed the plugins i had earlier are gone too? what the hell happen? What is the solution to fix this and get everything back?

First- don't piss off the work IT guy

Second- I hope you don't have Unraid exposed to the internet

As for the service ports, just use a port that's accessible and have your router/firewall re-direct it to your service's port

Haha the IT guy he's alright! unRaid definitely isn't exposed to the internet.

Spotify is accessible and I believe they use port 4070 if I am not mistaken? So basically I would change this port on plex from 32400 to 4070 and forward this port on my ubiquiti setup?

  16. Hi everyone,

My company recently relocated but i think the IT guy is blocking some ports that were not blocked before.

I cannot access my unraid server remotely or access my Plexamp library which are on port 32400 and unraid is on 31500

What are my options to circumvent this?
