Thanks all - I eventually figured out the SSD was for cache. I did also deduce one of my rotary drives was for parity because it would not mount with Unassigned Devices. And it was the same size and brand as the two other drives in the array. Your replies give me confidence i made the right choices 😅. I can see my files in my share now, and the parity sync is in progress.

Hello there, I had a power outage a few weeks ago. Tried to boot my unraid today and eventually figured out the boot USB was fried. Won't mount on other computers so I don't have any hope of recovering it. I created a new boot USB but don't have any of my settings and I don't have my GUID. Is there any way to recover my old usb? I'm pretty sure I made a backup in Unraid before it fried, but years ago. I'm not really sure what to do next here. EDIT - I found the GUID with the license I purchased and now have the new USB setup. I'm now unsure of my previous config. I have one SSD and 4 hard drives. I think the SSD was parity and pretty sure the rest were disks on the array - but what I'm wondering now is whether those disk have to be assigned in the same order as they were in my old config?
