  1. Hello Ok i want to run the MinioS3 plugin from the unraid community application plugin and i wanted to know what does the official tag actually mean and other than the user who created to plugin is it supported my the Minio community. Thanks
  2. Hello not sure if it belongs here or in the xcp-ng forums so i posted it in both I am currently using an unraid cache pool as my backend storage for my xcp-ng cluster. the 2 xcp-ng machines are connected to the unraid box over nfs and over time it seems the xcp-ng nodes just disconnect their storage and the vms lockup, The only solution is a reboot of the virtual hosts. Then nfs reconnects fine and the logs on the host dont register any disconnections in the first place. The NFS clients are on their own dedicated network with the nfs shares set to private and the rules are 192.168.7.x(sec=sys,rw) 192.168.7.x(sec=sys,rw) were x it the last unique ip for each machine for both hosts. Is their a way i can see exactly when the connections drop in unraid because I notice when the when i change smb or change nfs setting it disconnects but i haven't been doing that for weeks. It just fail Let me know if i need to submit more detail Any help would be appreciated thanks
  3. Hello I want to build a ssd pool for xcp-ng virtual host but i see unraid basic only supports 6 storage drives and i already have 5 hard drives in the array. If i add my nvme drive to a new pool first will it count towards my total storage devices. and with setting up a aditional pool can is start off with 1 drive i eventually want to create just a mirror so can i just use 1 drive then later expand to a mirror. thank you
  4. Thank you very much for the assistance any more advice for dealing with seagate drives.
  5. thanks of the quick reply i did the test and it shows 0 but something else i noticed is that the Seek error rate keep climbing as im doing the smart test should this be a concern.
  6. hello everyone this is the smart report of a new hard drive i purchased the smart status reads healthy but the the read error rate is high. Should I be concerned or is it safe to add it to the array. 8TB HDD Smart report.pdf
  7. Hello everyone Ok so this is where Im at. I want to upgrade my Unraid array with a new parity drive (From a 2 TB WD Red to a Seagate iornwolf 4TB Nas drive) And I want to swap a 1tb wd Blue in the array with the then spare 2TB drive. My question is their any special thing i need to do or a special order. I know first I must upgrade the parity drive as i want the 4TB for parity but im not sure how to add the 2TB to the array or am i missing something. Any help would be appreciated.😄
  8. So does this mean that if its formatted as btrfs I dont have to move the data off the ssd once i add the second cache drive
  9. Hello Ive been using unraid for almost a year now but i want to upgrade the storage for my virtual machines as of right now they are running of a hard drive on the array. Due to budget constraints i can only afford 1 ssd for now but i wan to run dual nvme ssds for redundancy so my question is simple can i install 1 ssd now and then add another one later when i can afford a second. thanks
