  1. No solution that is easily deployable on our end. Its something with how the data tables are set. I suppose we could ask the dev to add an option to disable the cookies, as far as I can tell they are only used to remember the sorting of the tables. I worked around the issue by disabling cookies for tower:8098 (what headphones listens on). I also disabled cookies for my server ip:8098
  2. Percona is faster than MySQL but I really think it is an unnecessary change since the primary use here would be a personal/private indexer. With only a few people using it the added speed wouldn't really help out. I can wait the extra second or two, I'd have to look and see if there are any other benefits.
  3. As for the samba issue, I don't think it will adversely affect the plug-ins or any other file really. The plug-ins are all recommended to be ran as nobody:users as it avoids 99% of the permission issues. There are a couple(plex comes to mind) that create their own user, and a couple that have to run as root. I have noticed the issue in samba, I had to re-map one of my HTPC's because I all of a sudden got permission issues. EDIT: Thanks, like I said its a relatively small bug and probably would not be ran across often at all. Just wanted to make it known in the off case someone did run across it an answer would be out there,
  4. By moved I mean moved. Say the directory was: /mnt/user/Limetest I had another share named "apps": /mnt/user/apps I moved "Limetest" to inside "apps": /mnt/user/apps/Limetest After doing so going to the webgui Shares page the "Limetest" share is still there, clicking on it to bring up the settings it reports as not empty so you cannot delete it(and the share is still exported, but cannot be accessed as it doesn't exist)
  5. Alright, I can reproduce it. What I did was: Create new share(did both through the webgui and by manually creating a top-level folder); I named it "Limetest" Put some random text files in the share so it would show as not empty in webgui. Through Midnight Commander I moved /mnt/user/Limetest to another share, in this case /mnt/user/Movies Went back to webgui, the share "Limetest" reports as having a size of 0B even though it no longer exists(since I moved it) Going into the share settings to delete the share it reports "Share Empty? = No" To delete the share from the settings page I must create a new directory named "Limetest" and then delete from shares menu. mkdir /mnt/user/Limetest It now reports as "Share Empty? = Yes" So, if the top level directory no longer exists for whatever reason but was not deleted from the webgui, it appears as not empty and cannot be removed from the user shares page unless the directory is recreated first. Hopefully I explained it better that time
  6. No, the start on reboot isn't working. I run the webserver off a cache drive and it SF web-server does not come up there either.
  7. He pulled the trigger on that shocker deal. Right now he'll only be powering 4 drives, so it'll be fine with that PSU. Once he needs to add more drives we'll replace the PSU with a single rail. Got the combo deal + a SuperMicro Saslp, a 4 in 3 and the forward breakout cables needed. Total after all discounts + shipping was $363, not a bad deal at all.
  8. A friend of mine was visiting recently and I told him about my setup. He is currently running everything through one PC, using it for watching movies, storage, ripping, the whole nine yards. Since his case is so small he only uses external drives via USB, and has 6-7 external harddrives lined up across the top of his desk. After seeing I have twice the storage neatly tucked away in a single case out of sight, he decided he MUST have this. I'm not 100% sure on what to purchase for him, so I'm asking here, Here are his wants/needs: Nice looking. He actually wanted a LCD but I think I talked him out of that. I have been meaning to try and setup lcdproc but I don't want to get into that on his build. Hold atleast 10 harddrives, preferably more. I'm thinking somewhere around 15. Stable Can stream full 1080p without a hiccup Run Plex and be able to transcode since he's out of town a lot. Quiet, right now he's living in a smallish house, he'll be building a house next near but for now noise is an issue. I was thinking an I3, but the budget he gave me will require some cuts somewhere. He wants it done for around $500, and I have to move quick on this as he is taking vacation in 2 weeks and after that will be out of town for quite a while. He is decent with computers but isn't the most tech savvy person, so I need a very stable build or I'll be on the phone with him every day helping him through stuff. I'm already planning on installing openvpn so I can connect to his server to do anything maintenance wise. It would be nice to have hotswap bays for ease, but its not a must, and with $500 I think it will not happen. I was looking at the Zalman MS-1000 HS2, with that case I could install his current harddrives in the 5.25 bays internally and leave the 6 hotswap bays for him to be able to add drives easily.
  9. What needs to be done is protection taken away from the government until they can figure out a way to protect our schools. If the problem is not enough police, up the police forces. Give states grants to allow this to happen. Its odd how our government always keep their benefits when we suffer. Banning guns or putting harsher restrictions will not solve the issue. Everyone's favorite statement is that the UK has strict gun laws and gun-related deaths are significantly lower than in the US. This is true but there are MANY other factors involved than just gun vs no gun. Like I said before, almost every shooting that has taken place was done with illegally owned weapons. Laws and restrictions will not help this at all. Illegal smuggling of firearms through our borders and ports is the issue. Guns will be stolen from legal owners, but not enough to arm gangs to the teeth and give these random shooters bullet proof vests, guns with extended mags, Assault rifles... And here is a perfect argument for the fact that more laws won't help. Lets go through the sequence of events for the Sandy Hook shooter and count the broken laws. He killed his mom. #1. He then stole 3 of her guns ( #2 #3 #4 ), then stole her truck ( #5 ). Then he illegally transported 3 weapons ( # 6 #7 #8 ), then carried those guns to a school without a carry permit (#9 #10 #11) then broke into the school (#12) brought those guns onto school property (#13 #14 #15) then shot 26 more people ( #16-#41). In total he broke the law 41 times in that single act. What would another one or two matter?
  10. If I were you I'd shut down and restart selecting "Mem-test" from the boot menu...If it segfaulted before and you restarted and it segfaulted again for a lib, it sounds like you may have a memory issue.
  11. Gun control isn't the answer either. If you look none of these shootings involved legally owned weapons. A crackdown on the borders and imports is what we need.
  12. As long as you point your web server to the newznab install it shouldn't affect anything else.
  13. Just ran across this. Its very minor and doesn't present any issues with data integrity. I had a share for Emulation, recently I made a share named "Games" to encompass all games and not just emulation. I moved my emulation share over into the newly created Games share. I didn't notice until today that unraid still showed an "Emulation" share, with a size of 0 bytes and Free space of 0 Bytes. The bug I believe comes in from the fact that since I had moved the share into a subdirectory it no longer existed so whatever command unraid uses to determine if a share is empty or not was failing and instead of recognizing the share was gone, unraid stated the share was not empty and I couldn't delete the share. I had to make a new directory on the root of one of my hard drives named "Emulation", then go into unraid settings and delete the share that was now correctly identified as empty. Like I said, very minor and probably not a situation that will come up often, just thought I'd make a note of it.
  14. It works fine with either plug-in, either the link from the wiki or the one here in the subforum.
  15. Any way its said is right, there is no wrong way. I wish I could get in the heads of these people and see what is wrong with them. At 24 I can't begin to comprehend what happened in this man's life to go on a shooting spree anywhere, much less an elementary school to kill so many innocent children.
  16. They DMCA the nzbs on indexing sites requesting they be taken down, same for the headers/usenet servers. Technically if they knew your indexer had a NZB for their content they could send you a DMCA request. But if you are running the server locally on your private network for personal use, how would they know? Dont open your newznab installation up to the web. Plus technically you are doing nothing illegal with the indexer, they can request a DMCA and as long as you comply all is well. That is how sites like nzbmatrix survived for so long. What happened there was the DMCA request was so large it would have been difficult for them to comply fully, and keeping compliance would have been very tough, so they decided to shut down.
  17. Sorry for the misunderstanding with the update scripts, I took the name at face value without consideration.
  18. With the plus version the regexes will update themselves when update_binaries is ran by the newznab script. Once it finishes pulling down all the headers it will start making the nzbs.
  19. In under 10 minutes, could be anywhere from 1 second to 10 minutes,
  20. All of you should check for a lighttpd.cfg in /boot/config/plugins/simpleFeatures/, if there is one present, rename it or move it and try again.
  21. It's working here. Probably just getting slammed right now
  22. I think they are saying as far as completion goes they do not take completion on those servers into account since they are the main DMCA servers. It also could be for legal reasons that they stated that.
  23. php /mnt/cache/appdata/webroot/newznab/misc/update_scripts/update_binaries.php php /mnt/cache/appdata/webroot/newznab/misc/update_scripts/update_releases.php Joeman, sorry, been so busy trying to get everything set up, I haven't even finished completely setting it up for myself. Its pulling everything, I just haven't set the api up for sickbeard yet!
  24. Alright, another update to the plug-in. Along with checking for the web-server plug-in and mysql plug-in, if they are not found a install button will appear. Just click and the plug-in will be downloaded and installed. Also, I've opened a new thread to keep better track of things, this thread is really active right now and its easy for me to lose a post. Check it out HERE!
