  1. Hello everyone, I have already read some threads on the topic, but I am slowly despairing. Every time I start the VM, Unraid freezes and only the reset button helps. First my components: AMD Ryzen 3600 MSI 450m Mortar Titanium 16gb RAM Palit 1080 Gamerock premium My steps: Create a Windows 10 VM on Unraid Install Windows 10 (and config for using in a VM, disable fast boot, install some drivers in the device manager) Set in Unraid Graphiccard to 1080 Set Soundcard to Nvidia Go on TechpowerUP download the BIOS (2 exists) Modify the BIOS with Hexeditor (spaceinvader one) Set the Graphic Bios on Unraid (Tried the same with the others). Own attempts to remove the graphics card with the console did not work The following tool was found: VFIO-PCI Config The graphics card is ticked. Restart Unraid. Monitor only shows details until the graphics card is removed (think it's correct) Start the VM and after a few seconds the web interface does not work anymore and the computer has to be restarted. 2. Threadripper is a workstation cpu and the combination of mainboard and threadripper need maybe a gpu to start your server. Not all, but the most atx mainboards wont start without a gpu. Maybe you find a mainboard without this problem or you take server components.

    New Build

Thats really enough. I little bit overpowered What do you want to run in docker?
  4. Hello, I have build a new server with unraid, my old server a synology diskstation wasnt enough. I build the server from my old computer hardware with the following stats: M/B: ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP Version - s/n: M80-3B003300095 BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. Version P1.70. Dated: 08/07/2013 CPU: Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1230 V2 @ 3.30GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled Cache: 1024 KiB, 256 KiB, 8192 KiB Memory: 16 GiB DDR3 (max. installable capacity 32 GiB) Network: bond0: fault-tolerance (active-backup), mtu 1500 eth0: 1000 Mbps, full duplex, mtu 1500 Kernel: Linux 4.19.56-Unraid x86_64 GPU: Nvidia Quadro FX 580 beQuiet 300 Watt Now, when i check the consumption of the server, it is a little bit high. In idle mode and spin down all disks, the consumption is 97 watt. Measured with Brennstuhl. The cpu clocking down to 1600mhz on idle and the max frequency is 3700mhz. I tried to find out if i can clock down the cpu even further, but i found nothing. Do you have any idea or another solution to reduce energy consumption? I had read about HP Microserver with 1230v2 CPU and a consumption of 30 Watt. Is the Mainboard so bad or what is the problem? Thanks a lot. Tobi
