  1. Hello community! I've been getting the following error messages in the Server Log after I try to investigate why a SMB transfer has failed due to an 'unexpected error' on Finder's Mac OS X. The Finder error happens on several files, so I believe this isn't an isolated event to a particular file(s) but more of a SMB error or warning: smbd[1515]: ad_fset: short write on Path/To/Directory/._FILENAME: -1ad_convert_xattr: ad_fset on [ Path/To/Directory/._FILENAME: Bad file descriptor and smbd[1515]: fruit_freaddir_attr: ad_convert(" Path/To/Directory/._FILENAME") failed What can I do to help make SMB transfers a little smoother and reliable? Thank you!
  2. Server errors started a little while ago but were fixed after replacing cable on cache2. Please see this thread for context: I'm stumped here since other dockers work fine, and the array is performing as expected after the IO error was fixed after replacing a cache drive cable as described in the above thread. I've checked settings, reclaimed, and have database and preferences backups. I'd appreciate any advice or areas to try before I start fresh and try to restore and salvage. Thank you in advance!
  3. Does there have to be a specific folder as a mount point on the local machine, or is it possible to Finder -> GO -> Connect to Server via NFS?
  4. I didn't know that! Thank you.
  5. Thank you for your help! Here is my log (attached) Plex Log.txt
  6. Hmm, when I try accessing server.local.ip.address:32400/web I'm getting a 404 error... And no, I haven't set up any domains or reverse proxies
  7. Hello community! Not sure why I'm getting 500 Internal Server errors on my Plex Media Server (Official) all of a sudden. I can't access the GUI and I fear that my database is corrupted. What can I do to troubleshoot? Really appreciate the help. Thank you!!
  8. Thank you so much! I think the original Execution Error was from an old docker container that was depreciated/blacklisted (Krusader). On that note, what's the best practice to 'clean up' appdata that still has directories for uninstalled docker apps? Also - I'm seeing a SMART error on one of my disks. I have replaced the cables a few times but it still persists. Is there anything else I could do to remedy? I will post in the Plex forum for Plex errors. Thank you again!
  9. Thank you! I replaced the cables on cache2 (dev/sdb) and here is my attached diagnostic as requested (attached). I don't see the same i/o error now, but am still getting error when trying to access the Plex web gui (500 Internal Server Error) Any help is hugely appreciated! server-diagnostics-20230912-1135.zip
  10. Hmm... When I try to open the Plex WebGUI in from the Docker page, I'm getting a 500 Internal Server Error.... What can I do to fix?
  11. Thank you so much for the fast reply! Really appreciate the help. Diagnostics attached, as requested! Plex Docker RUN command below: (I don't see anything unusual here, so I'm puzzled as to why things aren't working...) Command execution docker run -d --name='Plex-Media-Server' --net='host' -e TZ="America/New_York" -e HOST_OS="Unraid" -e HOST_HOSTNAME="Server" -e HOST_CONTAINERNAME="Plex-Media-Server" -e 'PLEX_CLAIM'='claim-v24LuXj5Md5PHCRwzVZt' -e 'PLEX_UID'='99' -e 'PLEX_GID'='100' -e 'VERSION'='latest' -l net.unraid.docker.managed=dockerman -l net.unraid.docker.webui='http://[IP]:[PORT:32400]/web' -l net.unraid.docker.icon='https://raw.githubusercontent.com/plexinc/pms-docker/master/img/plex-server.png' -v '/tmp/':'/transcode':'rw' -v '/mnt/user/Music Collection/':'/data':'rw' -v '/mnt/user/appdata/Plex-Media-Server':'/config':'rw' 'plexinc/pms-docker' e4eb2f4b7257582a5fbec8fbf9a5f48e92986b7b15a0d023840db1e4992e95fc The command finished successfully! server-diagnostics-20230909-1157.zip
  12. Hello Community! I've been getting some windows that say "execution error" on my Unraid server. Server logs show the following: Server kernel: I/O error, dev sdb, sector 21484200 op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x80700 phys_seg 5 prio class 2 Parity completes with no errors, but Docker apps seem to be really buggy. Plex logs are showing this error as well. Critical: libusb_init failed On the plex GUI I see Verify you have a network connection and that the server is online, Verify you have a network connection and that the server is online, Can someone please point me in the right direction so I can further troubleshoot and remedy? Thank you so much!
  13. Wow that did it! I'm quite surprised because I thought I had tried that already, and yet the kernel panic persisted... Any idea what could have prompted that? The array booted up just fine since I already had a Pro key. I now have an updated Unraid OS and all my shares and settings are back! Very glad to have a backup config in a safe place. Thank you for the help!!
  14. Thank you JorgeB! I can confirm that a reformatted USB with the default config boots up just fine, happy to report. Access to the GUI via the web interface works too. How can I best troubleshoot or debug my config folder so that I can restore my settings and shares? Many thanks again
  15. Hello! I'm stuck on a panic at boot. Server was 100+ days running great! Then I powered it down via web interface, an older v6 (can't remember exactly). Day later, upon boot I'm getting the following panic: VFS: Cannot open root device "(null)" or unknown-block(0,0): error -6 ... Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0) ... I attempted to remedy by re-creating usb with latest OS and restored original config folder, got the idea from here, but same panic persists. What else can I try? Thank you! c ps) connected PS2 keyboard is also not responding, should I be concerned this is a mobo issue??
