Superdean56 replied to PCR's topic in Docker Containers
Is there a new to setting this up? When I install the docker from community apps and run it, I get this error in logs 17:22:26 0|OctoFarm | 2023-12-09T17:22:26: WARN MESSAGE: ~ The OCTOFARM_PORT setting was not a correct port number: >= 0 and < 65536. So one month later, I re-ran my sync with the "fix errors" unchecked. It is currently syncing and I have over 300,000 errors detected so far. I did an extended SMART test on every disk I have, and all come back with zero errors. Can someone please explain this to me? trinity-diagnostics-20220101-1249.zip

Please see below, newer comments! I now have over 200,000 errors! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Everyone, I run my parity backup on the first of every month, last month I had 80 errors. I re-ran the backup and it finished with zero errors. Now today, my parity backup ran and completed and I now have 1344 errors. I ran SMART on all disks and they all seem perfectly fine, no issues What does this mean? Thank you in advance trinity-diagnostics-20211201-2028.zip

Hello everyone, I recently noticed that I am not getting the frame-rate I should be getting while running my gaming VM. Then I started looking into what frequency/clock speeds my CPU is running at and it is not boosting Setup: - core i9-9900k - asus prime z390-a motherboard - 32gb DDR4 Ram. (20gb passthrough to VM) - RTX 3080 (passthrough to VM) - Quadro p600 (for plex) - 1TB NVME (passthrough to VM) - 512gb SSD Cache - 32TB HDD storage I am running Unraid 6.9 I have 14 out of 16 cores pinned to the VM while running. I have tips and tweaks installed and CPU set to performance. I have ran the script "# grep MHz /proc/cpuinfo" and the maximum frequency it went up to was 3.8ghz, even when i prime95 the vm and i checked the governor and its set to 5ghz So what can I do to boost my CPU higher? Why isn't my cores boosting up to 5ghz? My cpu is definitely bottlenecking my RTX 3080

Hello everyone, I followed spaceinvader’s newest most recent video on Macinabox installing Bigsur as a vm I got everything running smoothly and I even logged into my icloud but every time I try to log into iMessage or FaceTime I get an error “an unknown error occurred” is there a way to fix this?

I was lucky enough to grab a 3070 today, I popped it in my unraid setup. It was super easy to passthrough, only video and audio, it doesn’t have a usb controller like the 20xx series but usually when my vm is off (with previous cards 1660ti and 1080super) the GPU fans stop spinning. But with the 3070, the fans never stop anyway to solve this?

SSD Cache Vs NVME speed comparison help

What do you mean? the primary v-disk for the vm is in the domains folder that is sitting on the cache drive -
Hey guys, I am hoping someone can shed some light and explain something to me. I’ve always read that passing through an nvme to a vm is better and faster than creating a v-disk on your cache drive I have a main disk (c drive) for my vm that’s a 70GB virtio disk sitting on the cache that has windows 10 on it and a NVME (d drive) drive that is being passthrough as a secondary drive for the vm. The main disk (c drive) scores 21GB/s and the NVME (d drive) scores 2.4GB/s. The NVME is scoring correctly but How is it possible that I’m getting 21GB/s from the cache drive?!? Current setup: - i9-990k CPU - ASRock B365M Phantom Gaming 4 Mobo - 2x16 Corsair vengeance RAM - 1 - 10TB parity drive - 3 - 8TB disks - 512GB crucial SSD for cache - 1080super passthrough for vm - quadro p600 for plex - 1TB NVME western digital SN550 passthrough for vm

Thank you for responding! I am actually running 6.8.0 I just realized right now that there is an update for 6.8.2 Do you think that could be the issue? Attached is the screenshot of the app

Hello, I just installed ControlR App for IOS and installed controlR plugin. I have the plugin running and i click on the URL link and it takes me to the login page, I log in and there is nothing listed, no dockers and no vms. Also I try to add the server on the app and it locates my server but then it jumps back to the main screen on the app and says "no servers available" I have my port set at 2738 in the plug-in, but when I click on the URL link, it says port 2379. I dont know if that is an issue, I tried changed the port number but I get errors But now that i restarted my server, im getting a error when trying to login in the URL page (see attached) Also, i am unable to locate the log file

What happens to GPU on VM when it’s off?
Superdean56 replied to Superdean56's topic in VM Engine (KVM)
Thank you for the response! That is all I wanted to know -
Hello everyone, I am fairly new to unraid and I can’t find the answer to this question anywhere I am researching about passing through a GPU and setting up a gaming VM. My question is: what happens to the GPU when the VM is off? My primary use of unraid is a Plex media server. If the gaming VM is off, what happens to the GPU? Is it running? Does it suck a lot of electricity? Is it bad that it’s on 24/7? thanks in advance!
