  1. Any ideas how I go about sorting that out?
  2. Bios is up to date, still having the same issue. Eth0 missing. I don't get why it initialises fine in 6.9 but not in anything newer, i'm guessing there is a config issue somewhere, but god knows where.
  3. Hello all. I still seem to be having a problem with upgrading my unraid box. Im a little outdated and running 6.9. I tried upgrading through the GUI to latest version however i get an Eth0 missing error, so rolled back to 6.9. Following some advice i tried doing it manually replacing the bz* files on the boot drive and same issue. I have also tried a manual upgrade to 6.10.3 again with the same issue. I know the hardware is fine as its working happily in 6.9 its only on upgrade Eth0 decides to be a ghost. Im guessing there is an issue with my config that is breaking something between versions but im not that clever and dont know where to start. Diagnostics from the boot of 6.10.3 attached. Thanks zibqFCMK.zip
  4. Hello, I seem to be having an issue, I noticed today that some media i played last night is not available today, so went looking and my array suddenly has a significant amount more free space and loads of files seem to be missing around 4tb if I remember rightly. I did a restart so not sure how useful my diagnostics are but here they are. alpha-diagnostics-20230809-2249.zip
  5. Unfortunately I didn't think to get the diagnostics at the time as per usual was to busy focusing on fixing things. I have done a bit of digging and found that my onboard graphics is intel i219-v, which having a look around the forums seems to have has past issues with drivers not being installed for it but, all those posts are over a year old, so would hope that issue has been fixed by now.
  6. Hello hive mind. I have recently changed some hardware in a server which was all fine until i tried to update the OS. Unfortunately this server has been a little neglected and is running 6.9.2. I tried to update via the GUI which upgraded to 6.12.3. Following this at reboot i got the eth0 does not exist issue. Looking through the forums i tried a couple of suggested fixes disabling VT-D and a command line mod but neither worked. So i have rolled back to 6.9.2, looking for advice as i cant find anything recent in the forums that seems to be relevant. Thanks
  7. I shall have a look into it thank you. The PSU is only a few months old as is the case, however the mobo has been repurposed twice now and is about 8 years old so might be a good candidate unfortunatly. But you bet I'm going to try all the other things first.
  8. Hello. My server apparently keeps restarting. I wasn't aware it was doing it I was only alerted to it when I posted in here asking about random Parity Checks and someone pointed out they were being caused by the server coming back online after unclean shutdowns. How might I go about getting to the bottom of what's causing the restarts as hardware issues isn't really my area of expertise. Thanks.
  9. I wasn't aware of an unclean shut down, wasn't aware of any shut down. Yes a new disk is on its way I have already moved anything of importance off it.
  10. Sorry thought i did it in the original post. alpha-diagnostics-20211101-0918.zip
  11. Hi hive mind. A seemingly random issue I keep running into is parity seems to run whenever it feels like it. Sometimes it will run 2 days in a row. Other not for another week. It's set to do it once a month because it's generally annoying a locks up my system while it's doing it and causes half my dockers to crash. Anyone any idea how I figure out how and why it's doing it?
  12. I was afraid someone would say that. Thank you. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
  13. Hey all. Fix common problems popped up with an error on one of my disks with a read error. I looked at the smart report but quite honestly I'm not as clever as you guys this is all quite new to me and it's all gobledygook to me. I would appreciate someone taking a look at the diagnostic file and giving me some advice on what's going on if it's a big issuee and what a sensible course of action would be. Thanks guys. alpha-smart-20200607-1613.zip
  14. Hello all. Forgive the new topic my phone won't allow me to post a new diagnostics file onto my old thread about a similar thing and I don't have access to my computer at the moment. In the last few days my server keeps becoming unreachable and going offline requiring a power cycle to come online again. The server goes offline anywhere from a few mins to 24 hours after reboot with nothing I have noticed in usage pattern when it happens. Fix common problems has also been popping up saying machine check events have been occuring. In posting a previous diagnostics file someone suggested it could be a power issue. I had a new PSU around I had been meaning to change into it anyway for a while so swapped that out but night again it went offline. Any help would be appreciated. alpha-diagnostics-20200531-0804.zip
  15. Thanks I had a spare PSU kicking around so incase that was throwing a bit of a wobbly I changed it out but again over night I got another message saying machine check error events and woke up to the server being unreachable.
  16. Hello hive mind. Since last night my server keeps going offline, unreachable and unable to ping. I have had to power cycle it then it does the same within a few mins of starting up again. On a startup just (longest it has stayed online for) it has just come up in fix common as Machine Check Error and said i should post my diagnostics on here. I did have a little issue a few months ago where the cache was becoming unwriteable that turned out to be a ram issue which has since been replaced. Dont know if its connected just posting for more background. Anyhow, attached is my diagnostics. alpha-diagnostics-20200528-1356.zip
  17. Thank you, I shall do that as soon as i have a spare minute.
  18. Ahh yeah that might help. Thanks alpha-diagnostics-20200220-1136.zip
  19. Hello hive mind, I have been having a bit of an issue with my Unraid server. For the third time now I have had this error come up 'Unable to write to cache: drive mounted read only or is completely full' The first time it happened was following a bit of a power blip at my house so thought that may have been the cause that was about 6 months ago now, but its now happened twice in 8 days so something somewhere isn't happy, but i have no idea where to look or what to look for. To fix it each time all i have done is reformat the cache drive and restored my app data backups to it and happy days, but i would rather i got to the bottom of whats causing it. Any advice much appreciated.
  20. Did you manage to sort this all out in the end David, seems i am running into the same issues.
