  1. I was preclearing a disc to go into the array and all was going fine until neart the end of the post read. I have attached the preclear log. Any assistance is greatly apprieciated. Thanks preclear_disk_WD-WMC4N0D5CL41_22612.txt
  2. Ok, I think I'm ready. I have backed up usb key and the other bits and pieces [appdata etc.] So, do I go though each update or can I jump straight to the latest or maybe somewhere in between before going to the latest. I've seen some say go to 7.0.1 then forward from there. Thanks In advance.
  3. Started to do this and encountered the first issue. Any thoughts? The wonderful Google AI is telling me this, "This error usually indicates a corrupted plugin package, a full/corrupted USB flash drive, or a failed OS upgrade" plugin: updating: dynamix.system.temp.plg Executing hook script: CA_preHook Clearing Community Applications plugin cache Executing hook script: pre_plugin_checks plugin: run failed: 'upgradepkg --install-new --reinstall' returned 127 Executing hook script: CA_postHook Clearing Community Applications plugin cache Executing hook script: post_plugin_checks
  4. After a long time without our Unraid server, I have finally managed to find the time and motivation to track down and resolve the issues [long story short - Not all SATA power connectors are as robust as others]. So now comes the time to bring the Unraid instance up to 7.2.4 from 6.12.9. I have updated all dockers without any [obvious] issues but I though I would ask the brains trust if there are any potential issues I should look out for or preemptively take actions to eliminate/mitigate. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreiciated. Let me know if there is any info I should add to the post to make it easier to give the advice and I will provide asap. Thanks in advance. 5. It appears that my CPU has chosen this exact moment to die!! Fabulous timing!!!!!!
  6. Desperate for help!! I upgraded from 6.12.8 => 6.12.9 but once it had finished and told me to reboot I clicked the button, it did its thing to reboot but nothing came back. no login screen, no ping response, nothing. The machine is headless so I retrieved it from its shelf, pugged it in to keyboard/mouse/monitor and booted but still nothing no activity on the monitor even. Really don't know where to go from here. Tell me what info I might be able to provide or options I might have. Thanks in advance
  7. Thanks JorgeB, I have replaced both cables which has definitely made a difference. Disk 8 seems to no longer have read errors however it is reporting UDMA CRC errors in the UI [as per image below]. greatwhite-diagnostics-20231015-1038.zip
  8. Hi Everyone, Hoping there is a solution to this other than "you've lost a heap of data and there's nothing you can do about it. I noticed that my parity drive had a red cross [see image] and was disabled. couldn't see anything obvious so I googled and found that some have had similar situations which was a faulty sata cable. I've replaced this but no resolution. I then did a read check on the array and came back with a heap of read errors on one of the pool drive [and a smaller number on one of the other drives; as per the image]. I'm at a loss to know where to go from here. I have attached diagnostic in the hope someone can point me in to a solution or to confirm data is gone and I just need to replace 1 or both drives. Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided. greatwhite-diagnostics-20231014-1019.zip
  9. Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I am running a parity check on my array but it is going very slow, approaching 4 days and it has only done 2.1%. Diag's attached Thanks in advance greatwhite-diagnostics-20221016-1007.zip
  10. it started downloading some queued items. Stopped all dockers and its now down to 20 hours
  11. Thanks to both of you. Parity is resyncing now. It is hovering about 4-5 days to complete at this stage so I'll see houw it goes and I will report back when complete. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.
  12. You guys are awesome!!! Now I wonder what the go is with the parity disc?? should I just replace it with the new one I have there?
  13. Do I restart the array in normal mode now? 20220922 - file system check -L - Disc9 - GreatWhite.txt
  14. And regardless of the outcome, A huge thanks for the help and responsiveness!!
