  1. So i've done some more experimenting and i get Nvidias lovely error 43, still no video output, with and without dumped vbios, im using teamviewer to test it. Windows itself does not recognize the vm as one and nvidia shouldnt either, as ... <vendor_id state='on' value='789256374ch'/> </hyperv> <kvm> <hidden state='on'/> </kvm> <ioapic driver='kvm'/> </features> <cpu mode='host-passthrough' check='none'> <topology sockets='1' cores='8' threads='1'/> <cache mode='passthrough'/> <feature policy='disable' name='hypervisor'/> ... should stop it from detecting me. So if anyone has an idea what else i could change so nvidia stops giving me error 43, I'd greatly appreciate that
  2. You need to enable and play around with acs overrides in your vm manager, you cant pass through the whole iommu group. I dont know whether unraid uses mobo audio for some reason, as i never tried using it, so maybe you need to add it to the vfio-pci.ids aswell
  3. Which bios did you choose, iirc using ovmf on such an old card can lead to problems and at least on my server my mobo audio is not alone in a iommu, so you might need an acs override to split it. And are you 100% sure, unraid doesn't use your gpu, for example where is the boot menu displayed?
  4. Can you post your iommu groups and what you are trying to pass through to the vm?
  5. Hi, I'm currently trying to setup multiple vm's so i can have one for every need i have like gaming/coding and so on. GPU passtrough didnt work at first, but thanks to this small fix echo 0 > /sys/class/vtconsole/vtcon0/bind echo 0 > /sys/class/vtconsole/vtcon1/bind echo efi-framebuffer.0 > /sys/bus/platform/drivers/efi-framebuffer/unbind I was able to get everything working on Ubuntu, but when trying to pass the same gpu through to a Windows 10 vm, it just black screened and didnt respond. So far I've tried some xml fixes to mask off the vm, as i don't want to face error 43 and i've used a dumped vbios, just for good measure. Switching to Q35 instead of i440 didn't help and neither did starting it with a single core or installing windows via VNC and switching back to my 1080. I've included my xml, but other than some passed through usb devices and <feature policy='disable' name='hypervisor'/> , it's pretty standard. I'm just genuinely confused, as why Ubuntu works like a charm and Windows just doesn't want to give me some display output. If you have some good ideas how I could get it running, it would be greatly appreciated.
