  1. Just to clarify on my response....I went from 2GB to 4GB. With 2GB it wouldn't upgrade the OS....with 4GB it upgraded fine.
  2. Ok I received the additional 2GB of memory and the OS updated to 6.12.6 fine. So it does appear to require more than 2GB to do the OS upgrade now. Thanks all for the responses!
  3. Ok, thanks for the reply. I went ahead and ordered another 2 GB of RAM and will install when it arrives....will post whether that fixes the issue. Otherwise I will try the manual fix you suggested. Thanks!
  4. I am trying to update from 6.9.2 to 6.12.6. When I update the OS, I get a "File I/O" error: plugin: updating: unRAIDServer.plg plugin: downloading: https://stable.dl.unraid.net/6.12.6/dc1b0af33b30d3fc31de78a5def0ef44803371876162269bb4b97e537c3c0ec9/unRAIDServer-6.12.6-x86_64.zip ... failed (File I/O error) plugin: https://stable.dl.unraid.net/6.12.6/dc1b0af33b30d3fc31de78a5def0ef44803371876162269bb4b97e537c3c0ec9/unRAIDServer-6.12.6-x86_64.zip download failure (File I/O error) I verified my flash drive is not read only. I did some searches and I saw earlier threads where people who had 1 GB RAM got this error, i.e. at least 2 GB of RAM was needed to do the update. One of my servers has 2GB of RAM and it fails with the above error, whereas my other server with 4GB of RAM updates fine. Does the update now require 4GB of memory just to do the version update? Thanks.
  5. Hello, I am using unRAID 6.7.2 and I'm just trying to use the built-in FTP server to save some files from a POE camera. I see most people are suggesting other FTP plugins, but I really don't want anything complicated -- just want to point my POE security camera on my internal network to an FTP folder to save files. I added a new user for unRAID FTP and I have been able to connect to my server and even browse the shares using Chrome and the new credential. But I cannot get any of my security software (Reolink, TinyCam, etc) to recognize any folder on the server, even though the login is working fine. I get the error "Failed to create FTP directories". I suspect it is just a permissions issue. Maybe it is able to read but not write....? I tried the unRAID Tools/NewPermissions for all disks/shares....didn't seem to help. I'm not even particular about which folder things go to, so if there is a default FTP folder that will work that would be fine as well. I wasn't able to find anything on what the default FTP folder is, other than if I FTP from Chrome I seek my disk1, disk2, etc shares. I am trying to use the FTP folder from my security software as "/disk1/reolink" (which already exists) but I have tried all kinds of folder options without any success. I am not a Linux guy, so hopefully this is just something I can do from the unRAID UI. Thanks in advance.
