  1. Thanks so much @glennv and @ljm42. Sorry, I had assumed something changed, not that there was a bug! Oops 🙂 Thanks for the quick response(s), and noted about proper forum etiquette!
  2. Hey ya'll, I recently upgraded to 6.10.0-rc1. Previously (for the past ~2 years) I have been using a custom SSL certificate for the webgui (not just for unraid, but for most of my internal and external services). I have multiple widlcard SSL certificates for each of my relevant domains. Anyhow, as of 6.10.0, unraid has decided to discard my custom SSL certificate, and instead revert to using a self-signed SSL certificate. I have attempted to fix this, by re-uploading my certificate bundle to the config/ssl/ directory, but no matter, upon reboot of nginx (either manually, or rebooting the entire server) it re-creates a self-signed cert and uses that as the default. I do not wish to use that, nor do I wish to use LetsEncrypt. What is the proper way to solve this issue, and what/why was specifically changed in 6.10 that resorted in this unintended behaviour?
  3. Been trying to make use of SpeedFlux for many days now! I would love to use it @breadlysm , but it doesn't seem to support InfluxDB when SSL is enabled. Are you able to add support for this?
  4. Yeah, I did. I'll start a new & separate thread.
  5. Is anyone having the issue wherein when you go to VM's > and click on Edit, it pulls up an edit for the wrong VM? Moreover, when I click add a VM, it pre-populates it with the config from the one that it keeps pulling in the "edit" screen. This just started today I believe, and I upgraded to 6.9.1 last night. I should add, its happening on multiple browsers - which makes me think its a server-side issue. maybe the nginx cache change from the changelog? idk
  6. Nevermind - an advanced search here led me to the answer (which is to delete both); apologies that my initial search was not good enough!
  7. Hello, I have been having a number of networking issues with unRAID recently. Not sure if it was when I installed additional PCIe NICs, or a recent update. Regardless, think I am just about good to go, and am trying to reset my network config to default - in the past that was deleting network.cfg and rebooting. Is that still the same process? I see a network-rules.cfg as well (and don't recall seeing this previously, but my mind may be playing tricks on me) - does network-rules.cfg need to be deleted as well? Please note, I have also removed a PCIe expansion NIC that had two NICs on it, so the information in network-rules.cfg is currently incorrect (I just removed a NIC and moved things around). Just looking for guidance on proper process these days. Thanks in advance!
  8. I don't know how to modify the subject of the thread, else I would post [SOLVED].
  9. I think I just figured it out. I think it was Day/Night plugin. Ugh. I thought this was uninstalled/disabled. Ignore me, lol
  10. Btw, I have tried multiple browsers. I just upgraded back to the NEXT version, rebooted, (it was on Azure colour scheme), set it to black, and about a minute later its back to Azure. So confused. I've also tried editing the config file using the CA Config Editor (and watched it work, then as normal, revert within the next 30 seconds or so).
  11. The other night, I was flipping through the color schemes in the 'Settings > Display Settings' menu. It was set to default, and I switched it to black, then grey, then Azure (testing them all out). I want to have black as my default, but no matter which I pick (even have chose the Defaults button and reset it all) it reverts to azure. The change is applied, the GUI updates correctly, and about 15-30 seconds later it reverts to azure. Kinda stumped on this one...the only other thing I did that night was downgrade from "Next" and installed NVIDIA UnRaid v 6.8.3 to use Folding@Home. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? Thanks in advance!
  12. That's kind of what I figured, just wanted to verify it wasn't an issue with my setup (pihole, separate DNS server, etc). Thanks for the quick response!
  13. Hey all, Just a quick question - sorry if its been asked before. Is it normal behaviour to go to Tools > Update, then change drop-down from Stable to "Next" and the page just refreshes and defaults back to Stable without doing anything? This has been occurring for me for a few months now. I tried to record a screen capture of it, but you cannot see the drop-down so its not super useful. Thanks in advance!
  14. Thanks for the quick response! It is fixed now 😄
  15. I may have just found a potential solution from Squid in another thread...specifically, for a very similar error he said: I will wait to hear back since I already opened this thread before proceeding further, but I imagine that will be the recommendation...
  16. I should note, the array starts fine (which makes sense if the flash drive is read-only, yeah?) - and I believe this issue began after an unclean shutdown due to a brief power loss earlier today.
  17. Hey all, Just as of recently (today), am getting the following when updating plugins (and actually spotted when trying to switch to next version instead of stable, was only on stable as this was a fresh reinstall from a few weeks ago). Error I was getting was something similar to "plugin: run failed: /bin/bash retval: 1" but specific to the enhanced.log plugin. After searching the interwebs, and the forums here, saw a number of callouts about not enough RAM (I have 64GB of RAM) or full disks (I do not, as far as I can tell) Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on rootfs 32G 1.3G 31G 4% / tmpfs 32M 588K 32M 2% /run devtmpfs 32G 0 32G 0% /dev tmpfs 32G 0 32G 0% /dev/shm cgroup_root 8.0M 0 8.0M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup tmpfs 128M 284K 128M 1% /var/log /dev/sda1 7.3G 468M 6.8G 7% /boot /dev/loop0 9.0M 9.0M 0 100% /lib/modules /dev/loop1 5.9M 5.9M 0 100% /lib/firmware tmpfs 1.0M 0 1.0M 0% /mnt/disks So then I went to remove said plugin, and that failed as well (I think?) plugin: removing: enhanced.log.plg ----------------------------------------------------------- Plugin enhanced.log has been removed. Version: 2019.12.26 ----------------------------------------------------------- Warning: rename(/boot/config/plugins/enhanced.log.plg,/boot/config/plugins-removed/enhanced.log.plg): Read-only file system in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 358 plugin: removed I have attached the diagnostics, but any guidance or assistance would be very much appreciated. I am seeing a lot of errors in the syslog, examples: Jan 8 20:53:15 unraid root: cp: cannot create regular file '/boot/config/secrets.tdb': Read-only file system Jan 8 20:53:19 unraid emhttpd: error: put_disk_settings, 3547: Read-only file system (30): fopen: /boot/config/disk.cfg Jan 8 21:15:23 unraid kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): error, fat_get_cluster: invalid start cluster (i_pos 0, start 01095fd6) Thanks in advance! Any and all help is greatly appreciated! unraid-diagnostics-20200108-2115.zip
  18. I don't have a backup, hadn't messed around enough to make one, but again, not too concerned about that. More concerned about how/why the issue occurred, because I'm contemplating whether or not this is the right solution for me - was probably something I did, but seems like a troubling issue after having only used it for about two months (and sporadically at that). Flash drive is a 16GB USB2.0 Kingston Data Traveler.
  19. Hey all, I'm a fairly new UnRAID user, as of about two months ago. Two nights ago, UnRAID updated to the latest beta version, and then needed a reboot. I tried to reboot, unsccessfully (which has been occurring the last week or so) and then tried to poweroff (from GUI and from CMD Line). Stuck for hours, ever after trying a number of diff things (load was average of over 15+ and continuing to rise). Anyways, I had to physically power it off using the power button (which I also had to do a week or two ago). This time however, unRAID will not boot. I get a flashing cursor. I have since updated the BIOS, and tried to navigate to the Flash Drive contents on Windows, Linux, and using Hierens Boot CD. The flash drive appears blank. In Hierens, it is 14.42GB free (16GB Flash Drive) and has no partitions and is listed as Unformatted. When trying to mount on Ubuntu, the drive shows up but there's no partitions or anything to mount (no filesystem). It appears as though the flash drive really is blank, I have checked all sectors on it and it came back successful. What are my next steps here? Is it re-downloading unRAID to another (or the same?) flash drive? Would an update/unclean poweroff cause this? I'm not super concerned with losing much since I had only transferred over about 800GB and that data is still on my Synology NAS, but this is becoming quite a headache, heh. Any advice/guidance/information would be very much appreciated! Cheers!
