  1. Ahh great! In that case, if it happens again in the future I'll just drop my connection so it forces it to use the copy on USB as you suggested. Thanks again!
  2. Whatever the issue was, it's now gone. I was about to test your recommendations above, but went ahead and clicked install first to see if the problem was still there, and it installed successfully. Will try and capture more detail from the console if it happens again.. but looks like it could be my side (again!).
  3. Phaze, on another note - I'm having an issue with updating Sonarr. It is 'Failed integrity test. Aborting installation'. Is there anything I can do to try and get around this, as at the moment it means I have no Sonarr running. It happened after triggering an update from within the plugin page. Have since rebooted and it has persisted. The previous version exists on the USB drive, so I'm guessing something in your plugin code is overriding that when it finds the new version online. The on screen log is passing by very quickly, but it is failing shortly after contacting update.nzbdrone.com Is there anywhere that the install attempt is logged, so I can check if it might be something my side? (Assuming it is something with your new md5 checking from what I'm seeing though). I'm happy to conduct any troubleshooting required while you are array-less
  4. Probably better to ask in Mediabrowser forums but... are you using Chrome for your browser? I have the same issue, and it does not appear in Firefox, Safari or even Internet Explorer in my Windows VM! (Shocked on that last one.) Would suggest it has nothing to do with this plugin per se.
  5. I've only become a recent user of your plugins (in the last week or so) but greatly appreciate all the hard work you've put in. There's a donation on its way to you, hopefully that can be put towards replacing those hard disks!
  6. Just wanted to share - updated Plex, CouchPotato, Transmission, Headphones, Sonarr and Sab to the new v2 plugins, all with no issues. (Ok one minor one, but it could have been me.. when the plugins tried to download the control file, it failed on a couple of occasions. Sab in particular I had to retry 4x, but it worked on the final attempt. Bit odd, but could well have been a local issue.)
  7. I couldn't find a dnsmasq plugin for unRAID 6 as yet, so I followed the instructions in the first post, substituting with the 64bit Slackware 14.1 package here: http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/slackware64-14.1/slackware64/n/dnsmasq-2.57-x86_64-1.txz Worked a treat.
  8. My 4224 hasn't missed a beat, bought April 2012. All but one backplane in use. I got my friend onto the idea late last year, and the 4224 that showed up for him and even better, more securely-fitting backplanes that didn't move a bit, even when loading the hard disks in. So yeah, I think they have fixed most of their issues... even if they haven't, they've been pretty good on replacement parts by all reports.
  9. Try the EFI method in the M1015 tools link in my signature below. On my Supermicro X9SCM, the full EFI shell is the only way to have the card show up.
  10. Did you follow the directions in the first post pertaining to 6b12? Thanks, don't know how I overlooked those. /embarrassed.
  11. I've been attempting to install your Plex plugin on my 6b12 box, and not having much luck. I can install the plugin, and get all the appropriate feedback. Once I do this, and go into settings and click on the Plex icon, it loads for a second then just displays a blank page. No entries in syslog or elsewhere that I can see. If I run the rc.plexmediaserver manually with the install parameter, it happily goes off and downloads the app etc.. but without the configuration options, I'm not sure I'm going to get too far. Installed just by dropping the plugin into /boot/config/plugins - tried running via installplg, and also cleaning up, dropping it in and rebooting. A little stumped at this point! Appreciate any help, and sorry if this has already come up and been answered, I couldn't find anything with a search. I thought I'd check out if it was the download I was waiting for, but the page remains blank and there is no traffic to the Plex CDN from looking at iftop, whereas there is if I run the install manually from rc.plexmediaserver EDIT - Ok I'm a knob and completely missed your instructions for 6b12. Sorry! Ignore.
  12. is this a thing ? If you are one of those people that build unRAID on top of a full Slackware system, then yes.. at least I'd imagine that is what he is referring to
  13. For Linux, yes quite easy... I didn't bother with my one Windows VM as I didn't really use it anyway. See my post here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=19332.msg348034#msg348034 For Windows, it's a little more difficult, as you have to do some work to stop blue screens. See here for example: http://backdrift.org/converting-windows-guests-from-vmware-esx-to-kvm-with-virtio-drivers As I mentioned, I just ditched my Windows VM as it seemed like more work than it was worth.. but I still have a backup of it, so may give it a crack at some stage.
  14. Awesome, thanks for sharing mate! Just fired up my Server and Esxi and saw this was a quick way to get it up and running so dnwld it and bam it worked straight away! As I'm new to UNRAID & VMW I assume it's safe to run unRAID as a guest right? Do I need to load/add the VM tools to this virtual setup? Thanks Kosti There is a VMware tools plugin maintained by Zeron for this purpose. I'd highly recommend using it. Just FYI for all in this thread, I've moved to bare metal unRAID, and moved all my VM's to KVM, so I won't be maintaining this any longer. Hopefully other people will step in, as per above. I'll edit the first post and add the link to the 6b12 VM from Savestheday above.
  15. A quick update.. my rig hasn't missed a beat, except for one drive kicking the bucket. Swiftly replaced and rebuilt about 6 months ago. I've swapped out some 2 TB drives for 3's and 4's, and the party is now running off a 4TB. Things with unRAID 6 started looking appealing, so I bit the bullet and upgraded, and went back to bare bones unRAID as part of the process. Firstly, I uninstalled VMware tools on all my VM's. I decided to ditch my Windows VM, as it seemed more trouble than it was worth to migrate it, and it wasn't doing that much anyway. For the Linux VM's, the process was surprisingly easy - shut them all down, SFTP into ESXi and copy the VM's off onto a laptop. After bringing up the unRAID bare bones installation, and installing VM Manager from dmacias, I used dlandon's v6 SNAP plugin to mount a non-array SSD, and popped the line in the go script to bring it online during boot up. I then FTP'ed across the .vmdk's to this location, and converted the .vmdk's using qemu-img: qemu-img convert -f vmdk vmware_image.vmdk -O qcow2 kvm_image.qcow2 I then created a dummy VM to get the .xml structure (very new to KVM), and edited it to suit the VM's I was porting across, including their UUID's from the VMFS folder (probably not necessary for Linux but still...). I added them via VM Manager, and clicked start.. to be honest I thought I'd have issues, and there was no way it'd work straight off the bat.. but it did! Both Linux VM's up and running. I've added a bunch of plugins (powerdown/apcupsd and others) and all went very smoothly, no issues to speak of. To do list: - Work out bonding. I've got this far!: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37642.msg348032#msg348032 - Play with docker to see if it's worth me starting to use docker apps rather than VM's. The biggest issue I see here is that you run a little behind with updates, as it appears the docker maintainers are the ones that need to keep them updated. I prefer to do this myself, so will probably stick with the KVM VM's. Anyways, so far so good. Very impressed with v6!
  16. Hi, I've recently bit the bullet and ditched my ESXi-based 5.0.6 system and upgraded to 6 beta 12, converted all my VMware VM's to KVM etc and all is well. However, there's one thing I'd like to replicate, and I'm pretty sure it's possible. I have 2 NIC's on my motherboard (X9SCM) and 4 more on a quad-port intel card. One of the motherboard NIC's is the one that unRAID is using primarily. I've also created a bridge for KVM usage, and my understanding is that that will effectively bridge ALL the NIC's by default. What I want to do is break down the bridging and bonding so I can achieve: - Nic #1 on MB (eth0), unRAID traffic only - Nic 1-4 on the quad port (eth1-eth4), bonded using rr or 802.3ad (will test both, I understand the limitations with 802.3, but I still think there's some advantages with multiple gigabit streams in my situation) I have a HP 1810-G, and was running this way previously in VMware. There's a couple threads here that have MOST of the information, i.e. it's clear enough how to set up multiple bridges, based on this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=34872.0 What I've done is disabled the default bridge from the web interface (and in the network.cfg to be sure), and made the following edits to network.cfg (have tested bonding_mode=0 as well): BONDING="yes" BONDNAME="bond0" BONDNICS="eth1 eth2 eth3 eth4" BONDING_MODE="4" BONDING_MIIMON="100" BRIDGING="no" BRNAME="br0" BRSTP="yes" ...and then I'm using the following in the go file, as I believe we still need a bridge for the VM's. I've excluded eth0, as I want that to remain separate for unRAID traffic only (no VM traffic). Have also changed the VM xml file to contain the "br1" bridge. brctl addbr br1 brctl stp br1 on brctl addif br1 eth1 brctl addif br1 eth2 brctl addif br1 eth3 brctl addif br1 eth4 ifconfig eth1 up ifconfig eth2 up ifconfig eth3 up ifconfig eth4 up I've tested at this point, no dice. I've also tried giving the bridge interface an IP, and giving it a default route (the gateway on my network): ifconfig br1 192.168.43.210 broadcast 192.168.43.255 netmask 255.255.255.0 up route add default gw 192.168.43.1 dev br1 All of this results in the VM's on the bridge being able to ping each other, but nothing external. Looking at the switch, it appears that at least in bonding mode 4, the trunk is operational and working. Any assistance would be appreciated, I'm not that great with Linux and networking EDIT: removing the bonding and leaving the bridge as is seems to work fine, and there seems to be traffic across eth1 through 4 according to iftop. I don't feel like this is the ideal scenario though? EDIT 2: I've just noticed that even though I manually set the bridge up, the web GUI shows that it is configured, and traffic for br1 is actually travelling across all interfaces, including eth0, even though it wasn't in the manual config.
  17. I'd suggest starting a new thread. This thread is about M1015 cards and firmware tools, so probably why no one is looking.
  18. Just to document this here (as Abula contacted me via PM and I am very time poor these days), it is indeed possible to flash older versions by first wiping the BIOS with the megarec commands.
  19. I haven't had this particular issue.. could I ask whether you followed the procedure outlined in my post here? http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=26774.msg234518#msg234518 The reason I ask is that about 9 months ago, I helped someone via PM that ran the wrong batch file, and ended up with a similar issue. May be not directly related, but worth a look?
  20. Just grab the download from the LSI site and replace the 2118it.bin file in my archive with the new one. Then follow the steps in 'Upgrading Firmware' in my original posts above.
  21. I've been running mine 24/7 for almost 2 years now.. only reboots are when I've upgraded to a new version.
  22. I will probably get to the new versions, but it may be a week or so away as I'm on vacation at the moment.
  23. I'd be contacting super micro support, they are very good and should quickly come to a resolution for you, especially as it's likely been seen before.
  24. What type of SATA disk? If it's an older/smaller disk, it may not be capable of any faster speed than that. My test above was done on a SATA 3 SSD, so there is no chance of the hardware slowing things down.
