  1. Sickbeard takes care of all of that via the postprocessing script, transferring the file to unRAID after it's downloaded/unpacked etc on the Sab/Sick/Couch VM.
  2. The version for 5.0.1 works fine with 5.0.3 and ESXi 5.5, I'm using it. The kernel hasn't changed between those versions, so as a general rule, Zeron's plugin should continue to work.
  3. Your analogy is flawed, they aren't slacking off, they just have more orders to process than they are actually capable of processing within their standard timeframe. To take your analogy a step further, if you have 4 days' work to do in one day, can you realistically achieve that, or is some of the work going to suffer? At least Newegg communicated with you, many other businesses wouldn't even do that. While I take on board your comments about paying for a particular service, I think too many people are losing sight of the reality of situations like this - a business like Newegg that operates on a much smaller profit margin than other industries are going to run into issues like this every now and then, especially during crazy times of year like Black Friday and Christmas. There isn't room to employ extra people because of said profit margins, so they just have to suck it up and do the best they can. Anyway, I'm sure people will appreciate knowing about the shipping delays, if nothing else.
  4. Sure, will try and remember to do that tonight Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk
  5. Same way as non-vmdk, plugin installation is no different
  6. Yep, it has 2 cores and seems to have no issues streaming to multiple tablets etc - installing on Ubuntu is very simple.. there is an apt repository, but I prefer just to download the .deb file and run "dpkg -i plex*.deb" and you're done. There might be a few dependencies you need to install first like avahi, but dpkg will tell you about those.
  7. It does, I believe I've read posts similar to yours about the RL-20's. I have the RL-26's personally on my 4224 and they are great.. perfectly line up etc. From what I understand, the 26's should work with your 2U case as well - have you tried racking your 2U unit with the 26's? If that works, just grab another set of those. Issues with the 20 rails seem to be fairly common.
  8. Which cases are you trying to rack? That would help
  9. FYI, I'm not going to update the image list with any of these small point releases that are coming out at the moment. They don't really do that much in terms of functionality, and I'm not updating my servers, so I'm not going to put up an updated .vmdk Next update for me will be the 64-bit release. In the meantime, the existing images are easily updated if you want to do it yourself - instructions are in this thread.
  10. There is no problem with Mac in general. Shares come up in 5 seconds or less for me via my mbp running 10.9 Perhaps post a syslog and we can look into it further. Also disable all plugins and check that the issue persists.
  11. That's only accurate if he is referring to the datastore for ESXi, not the connected UNRAID disks. Something like the mentioned LSI card would be great for attaching a few drives to and making a raid10 datastore or similar, but most of us just go with a SSD. It's not going to help at all with UNRAID connected drives. Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk
  12. That's right - the instructions are in the unRAID wiki: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Server_Version_5.0-beta_Release_Notes Be sure to follow the instructions that relate to your existing version.
  13. Check your unRAID USB stick first. If there's nothing wrong with it, you're good to go. There's no need to follow Johnm's post, you can use one of the .vmdk's in my signature below and save yourself a stack of time. What I would do: - Back up your unRAID flash drive (you do this anyway right? ) - Replace the (seemingly) faulty SSD, or troubleshoot cable/power etc to double check it is the disk that is failing. - Boot up into ESXi and create a new datastore on the new drive. You can detach the storage drives when you do the reinstall if you want.. that will avoid accidentally selecting the wrong drive. I've never bothered, and never had ESXi wipe all my drives, but 5 seconds of pulling SATA cables out is good peace of mind I suppose. - Use one of my .vmdk's in my sig, and the instructions there, and update your unRAID USB stick to the same version (make sure you follow any steps in the wiki for upgrading from rc8a to whatever you pick.) I wouldn't bother with plop, it's slow and needlessly complex imho. Once you've done all this, and set the appropriate cards to pass through etc, you should be back up and running... this is all assuming that there is no issue with your unRAID USB stick.
  14. Replace the datastore/ESXi drive and start again. All the critical data is on your USB stick anyway. Recovery of the datastore might be possible, but you're better off asking over at the VMware forums. If unRAID was the only thing on your datastore, then don't worry about it.. just replace the drive and start again. I'd get it back up and running again, then take the opportunity to upgrade to the full released v5 using the .vmdk in my signature below.
  15. Bonding isn't going to help you, your issue is that your internet connection is fast approaching the speed of your disks, exceeding it in terms of an array-protected disk. A combination of not downloading while processing and moving everything sab - related to a cache drive should solve your issue, however even then you are likely to hit the upper limit of speed that sab is capable of. A few people have eluded to that in this thread and there is plenty more posts on that over at the sab forums. Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk
  16. No worries, apologies for not understanding (or reading!) your original issue correctly. Busy times for me at the moment.
  17. No idea, never seen that. If your card is displaying that above message and showing hard disks, then it seems to be working correctly and I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the card itself. You could try the flash procedure again, this time without the BIOS. I believe you just leave out the "-b mpt2sas.rom" but I'm not 100% sure.
  18. It's not in one of these packages is it? (You've probably already been down this path?). http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=NF10K
  19. The Bitfenix Prodigy has been available for a while, however the Phenom is a new case for Bitfenix and is most definitely only available for preorder. Then there is the micro-ATX version of both, designated with the "M" moniker. The new cases will be available here in Australia on the 1st October. http://www.maximumpc.com/bitfenix_announces_phenom_case_small_form_factor_builds2013 I can vouch for the cooling performance of the Prodigy at least, as I have my gaming rig in one. It has a 6990 in it, which is one of the hotter video cards around, and the stock fans, with an additional 120mm up front, cools everything quite well. I've preordered a Prodigy M (I quite like the look myself ) as I want to move my gaming rig into that so there is more room for the aftermarket cooler that I want to add to the 6990, which will reduce the noise from the stock cooler significantly. Anyway, all of that's fairly irrelevant to an unRAID build, however I hope it's some helpful information regardless.
  20. I had this issue with 1 out of 3 Windows 8 boxes in my house.. none of them were on 8.1 I never actually managed to resolve it and just used the IP address from that particular PC. The other two PC's had no issues at all.
  21. For me, I keep having to 'refresh' the connection to unRAID by bringing up Finder, hitting command-K and typing afp://unraidhostname Once that connection's done, Time Machine starts working again.
  22. Final on its way up.. forgive my backwater internets, it may take a while! EDIT: Final is up.. I set off the upload then promptly forgot about it Link is there now.
  23. The better question would be why would you want to - I'd recommend saving yourself future annoyance and using the 3Tb as parity. That means when it comes time to expand the array, you can add 3Tb drives straight off the bat, rather than having to upgrade the parity drive.
  24. Thanks Moose, I'll update the fileset on the weekend.
  25. No different to how you install the key for a standalone server - put it on the flash drive. This is assuming you have passed the flash drive through to the VM Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk 4
