  1. Was able to correct the problem by doing as suggested. I was able to mount the old data drive, and copy to the new drive with Krusader. I did temporarily unassign the parity drive during the copy. Everything is restored and the parity sync is running. Thanks!
  2. Hello. I was trying to increase the storage space of my Server. I had 4 2 TB data drives. To do so, I first installed a new 4 TB parity drive, replacing the 2 TB parity drive I had. The process ran and rebuilt the new parity drive successfully. After that, I followed the same sequence when installing the replacement data drive, that is, to turn off the array, pull one of the 2 TB data drives I had and insert a new 4 TB data drive. I assigned it to the same slot as the replaced 2 TB drive and started the rebuild process which ran for several hours. After it was completed I got an error 'Unmountable: No file system', with a flag to format the new drive. I did execute the format (looking back now i think this was a mistake). After the format completed I have a now empty new drive added to the array, with all of the data that was on the removed drive missing. How can I restore the data to the array? I have the old drive I removed. Should I have formatted the drive first? I did not need to do that when replacing the parity drive? Thanks... BTW Im on version 6.7.2
  3. OK I see some instructions regarding that. I will give it a try.
  4. This is the problem. There is no parity drive to rebuild from. The parity drive was just pre-cleared to add to the array. It was after or during the preclear when the error started. The drive is ready to run the parity sync, but now one of the data drives is showing errors. The timing is horrible.
  5. As requested. I have a picture of the error I am seeing on screen, and a new diagnostic report. tower-diagnostics-20151005-1723.zip
  6. Thanks for the reply. I will upload a screen shot when I get to the machine later. The drive that reported the issue has an X next to it and when i hover over it I see the message I mentioned in the previous message. I did not want to start the array until I received confirmation that it was OK to do so.
  7. Opened up the case and re-confirmed all of the cable connections. When I power up the server and hover over the drive I see a message 'Device is disabled, contents emulated'.
  8. Hello, After running pre-clear on a new parity disk, I am now getting an error on one of my data disks that the drive is unmountable, and when I start the array, it is asking me to format the drive. Is there anyway I can save or recover the data on this disk? tower-diagnostics-20151004-2101.zip
