December 14, 20205 yr Unraid Version 6.8.3 Hardware: LSI 9211-8i P20 IT Mode Supermicro X9DR3-LN4F 24ish harddrives of mixed size, manufacturer and age. Plugins (what I can remember): Unassigned Devices IPMI Plugin Active Streams A plugin to show open files by which user (can't remember name) A plugin to show CPU and HDD temps at the footer of the page (can't remember name) More that I can't remember. Docker (what I can remember): Radarr Sonarr NextCloud QBitTorrent NZBGet Jackett Emby Tautulli A few more I can't remember I can't obtain diagnostics file or SMART reports. Please read, unless you know of a special way to obtain these files don't ask for them. Ok. I'm starting to freak out a little. None of my disks are showing in the main tab of Unraid. None of my shares show up in shares. Unraid is acting funky. This all started when I was trying to access a file over the network via an application. The first time I brushed it off. Then it happened to the same file on another computer. I went to my Unraid dashboard to check the status of the server. Everything seemed to be ok, all disks health had a big green thumb. I could browse the network storage via my computer, but at minimum the one file was corrupt or inaccessible. I started poking around on the Unraid dashboard, and the next thing I found was the plugins page would never load, just the loading symbol forever and ever and ever. This is starting to get more weird. Something similar happened in the past with the docker page, and it had to do with my system time, so I check my system time. Time is good. I figure a restart will put it in order. Bad idea, especially without grabbing a diagnostics file first... When the machine reboots, which takes forever (not typical), no disks show on the main page of Unraid dashboard. This seems like a strange no disks, usually there are some drop down menus or something, my main page is blank, I attached a screen shot to this post. I tried starting the array, and it "starts" but there are no disks still. I tried collecting diagnostics information and Unraid just sits there forever. During boot, all of the hard drives are shown by the LSI card. So the system knows they are there and operational. I am not sure where to go from here. Please advise on the next steps I should take. December 14, 20205 yr Author It took sometime, but my diagnostics file did generate. I have attached it. Edited December 14, 20205 yr by JimJamUrUnraid removed diagnostics file
December 14, 20205 yr Author I think I’ll try a fresh usb disk and unraid install just to see if the drives show up. Will report back.
December 14, 20205 yr Author The new USB stick and unraid install pulled up all of the drives without issue. I happened to have taken a screen shot of all of my drive assignments, so that made that step a little easier than digging through the diagnostics file. I just have to setup all of my plugins, dockers, and settings. great. It would still be nice to know what happened to the old usb stick...
December 14, 20205 yr Community Expert All you need is the config folder from the original flash to get everything back. You must always have a current backup of Unraid flash drive. You can download a zipped backup of flash at anytime from Main - Boot Device - Flash - Flash Backup.
December 14, 20205 yr Author Id rather start fresh. There was something wrong with the old installation. Id rather not inherit any of the problems associated with it. I am having other issues now though. For example, i cant seem to install any community applications. The main community applications plugin installed just fine, but for example, when I click the "Install" button on the IPMI plugin, unraid just sits there doing nothing.
December 14, 20205 yr Author Its shameful that a fresh install has issues like this. I have attached a fresh diagnostics file. I don't see a trace of the OS/Community Applications trying to install the plugins that I have attempted to install... Edited December 14, 20205 yr by JimJamUrUnraid removed diagnostics file
December 14, 20205 yr Author It appears that CA was updated today and could have potentially broken the install links for everyone. Next issue. Unraid picked up all my old dockers and started them, but the icons are all missing and the links to the web gui pages dont exist. Any idea how to get these back? I post a screen shot below...

Thanks, I found the templates in the dockerMan folder. That helped setting up the docker images from scratch. The server is mostly re-setup without actually copying anything from the old USB stick. A bit tedious, but this made sure I didn't copy a corrupt file or copy the issue over to the new installation. Edited December 14, 20205 yr by JimJamUrUnraid

December 21, 20205 yr Author Diagnostics attached. I think it is related to the nginx issue above. The web GUI is incredibly slow to respond. kioshi-diagnostics-20201221-1144.zip
