Can't remove a file/directory even as root?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to use

rm -r

or

rm -rf

To delete some bugged folders made by ruTorrent in /incomplete

When trying I get this message:

rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Sokpop.S08.Popos.Tower-DARKZER0': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Default.Folder.X.5.1.5.Dmg': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Micromat_ATOMIC_v1.0.2[MacOS]': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Aretha Franklin - Runnin'\'' Out Of Fools (1964) (2011) Columbia, HDTracks 24-96 [FLAC24]': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Mr.Kitty - D E Δ T H (2011)': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Ishuzoku Reviewers/NC': Directory not empty
rm: cannot remove 'incomplete/Akira.1988.UHD.BluRay.2160p.TrueHD.5.1.HEVC.REMUX-FraMeSToR': Directory not empty

Which doesn't make sense as I am using a command that should force the deletion of any directories and sub-directories including their contents. I've never had a problem using either of these commands before.

How do I remove these folders and files in them? It seems to be an issue with these files:

.fuse_hidden003c7f56000064a7

Where each file is called .fuse_hidden<some_hash>
