December 15, 20205 yr When I run a speed test to the server I can't get the full 2.5GbE but when I run a file transfer it caps out at 129MB/sec even if I am copying from the cache drive. If I transfer to or from an NVME on the server to the cache drive on the server I get the full speed. My Desktop PC drive has two SSD drives and transfers between them exceed 500MB/sec. I attached some pictures. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Edited December 17, 20205 yr by Italiandevil0505 Solved
December 16, 20205 yr Author Here is the diagnostics log. Any help would be much appreciated. The funny thing is, I remember when I first started testing this out I was getting the full 2.5gb transfer speed. tower-diagnostics-20201215-1852.zip
December 16, 20205 yr Author So I tried to see if it was maybe just a limit imposed by one file but transferring two at the same time cuts it in half instead of using the whole 2.5gb
December 16, 20205 yr Author Oddly enough when two computers are accessing the network it saturates the full 2.5gb but either one of them alone does not. All of these have 2.5gb nics on a 2.5gb switch.
December 16, 20205 yr Community Expert iperf looks OK, if you haven't yet try copying from a disk share instead of user share.

December 17, 20205 yr Community Expert By the screenshot I can't tell if that's a disk share or user share, you can name them whatever you want.
December 17, 20205 yr Community Expert On second though pool names can't have spaces, so that must be a user share, try it on the disk share, you can enable disk shares on Settings -> Global Share Settings

The weird thing is, if I do a transfer from two separate computers I can saturate the full 2.5gb link on the server. However, if I do a transfer from just one desktop I am stuck at 129-130MB/sec.
December 17, 20205 yr Author Well I think I figured it out. Must be a bug in the new 6.9 beta builds. I forgot I had updated to that. I was on Beta 30, updated all the way to RC1 and had the same issue. Reverted back to 6.8.3 and transfer speeds are flying now. How would I go about reporting this bug?

Were you able to figure this out in the latest 6.9 stable releases?
