Unassigned Devices - Unraid to Unraid

Featured Replies

Scenario:

Server 1:  One unraid server hosting drives (12 * 4TB) of disks.  Server is used for Plex

Server 2: One unraid server mapping shares with unassigned devices using NFS shares (mapping to server listed above) - Mapped share is called  ISOS
Server is used for Dockers and VMs.  Dockers have access to other shares mounted through NFS from Server 1 with any issues.

Server 2 maps the drives easily.  When I go into console mode of Server 2 I can go into the shared folder ISOS I can see the content. I have no issues what so ever.

Issue:  When in settings under VM Manager and try to point to the ISOS share, it is only displaying the 3 shares I have setup on Server 2. It is not displaying the share called ISOS.

Any insight to this would be appreciated. I could add the diagnostics if needed but would like to start with this first.

Assuming you are using the most recent version of Unassigned Device, that remote share is mounted at /mnt/remotes/ISOS. Is that where you are looking for it?

Can you specify that path manually?

Your assumption is correct.  When in console accessing  /mnt/remotes/ISOS is working.  When in the GUI of VM Manager I cannot see the share.

Adding manually is not working. Path is not recognized.

BTW - ISOS in caps for emphasis only... the path is actually all lowercase.

Issue seems to be clearly the vm manager..

Default VM storage path: and Default ISO storage path:

cannot see anything unassigned shared

What version Unraid?

Issue has been resolved. I needed to delete my libvirt.img file.  No backups of the file worked, so I had to recreate it.

I was able to manually add the paths as the unassigned shares still not showing up in the list.

Had to then remap my VMs to get them back.
