Djcross1976 Posted December 16, 2020 Share Posted December 16, 2020 Hi wonder if someone can help me with problem I have I'm in middle of new build and one of the cable ties has nicked one of the sata power cables will I have to buy new PSU unit or will it be ok to use once it powers up any help in this matter would be appreciated thanks Quote Link to comment

(I find this a bit incredulous.) Can you see the wire inside the cable? Have any of the strands been cut? Is it a case of cold-flow of the thermoplastic insulation? Quote Link to comment

PeteAsking Posted December 17, 2020 Share Posted December 17, 2020 I honestly cant see that causing a problem, it almost looks cosmetic. Its a wire inside plastic. Unless somehow that wire touches something else conductive nothing will happen. Quote Link to comment
