February 1, 201115 yr Just a quick check on legality. I have a parity check occurring at present on a 6 drive array. I have 3 preclears occurring on 3 new drives. (Parity check will finish way before the preclears). Once the preclears are done. Can I stop the array, assign all 3 drives to the array at once, start it and format them, or do they need to be added/assigned one at a time?
February 1, 201115 yr You'll have to wait until the parity check is complete, or cancel it. After stopping the array, you can add all three disks at the same time under the Devices tab. They will be available in a matter of minutes after restarting the array.
February 1, 201115 yr Personally I'd wait until the Parity check is done before adding any new drives. You want to make sure the state of your array is in top shape before adding more.
