(SOLVED) New To Unraid - Parity Smart Shows Error

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Unraid and my system has finally finished the initial parity check. I am just a little concerned because it shows an error on the SMART check. I've attached the screenshot. Can anyone explain to me what this could be, please? Or how to fix this? Or is this something normal?

Thank you everyone and greatly appreciate any help!

That's more reallocated than I would expect for a new disk. What model?

Hello and thank you for responding :D.

The parity drive is a Seagate IronWolf 8TB, if that's what you meant.

Edit: This is the exact model number - ST8000VN004.

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this? I did the long test and it passed with no errors but still shows the above pictures.

Since it passed the long test, you can click on that thumbs-down icon and it will let you acknowledge the current value. It will warn you again if it increases.

So this should be something that I shouldn't worry about unless it increases?

  • Community Expert

Should be OK in this case of reallocated sectors since it passes extended smart.

Thank you for all your help :)
