Featured Replies

Hi, is anyone else having problems after updating?

It has been working perfectly forever before this update.

Only disk 4 is showing a temp, * is showing for the rest. They are all WD shucked drives.

Have you tried spinning the drives up first?  It is expected to get * in that column if the drives are currently spun down.

Yes all drives are spun up. I've been watching these temps for 2 days as it's hot here. Has never showed anything except disk 4 and cache since updating. Which may or may not be the issue, but I do watch temps regulary

Rolling back to Version: 6.9.0-beta35 fixes it, so it's a problem with rc1. Where should I report?

What output do you get from smartctl -A /dev/sdX on RC1?

You should have Tower emhttpd: read SMART /dev/sdX in logs for new process that gets temps.

You can create a bug report, don't forget to include the diags.

I have the same problem! anyone figured out a way to fix this?

I've tried smartctl '-A /dev/sdX' and i get a message back telling me smart status is enabled.. however when i go into the hdd settings it tells me this:

SMART support:Available - device has SMART capability.

SMART support:Disabled

Very confused!

You should see something like this from smartctl

root@Tower:~# smartctl -A /dev/sdl
smartctl 7.2 2020-12-06 r5127 [x86_64-linux-5.9.13-Unraid] (local build)

Retest with rc2, there are some related fixes.

Tried RC1 and couldnt get any hdd temps.. Tried RC2, now getting hdd temps when spinning up/down the drives on array but can get no temp on either the cache or flash.

Cannot get SMART enabled on cache either. restoring to 6.8 for now.
