Legacy or UEFI boot?

Featured Replies

Have been using Legacy for years now.

Am I better off switch to UEFI in BIOS?  And changing the EFI- folder to EFI on the flash?  Or does the setting in thr GUI do that?

I am adding a LSI SAS 9211-8i card when it arrives.  Do these cards work better with BIOS set to Legacy or UEFI

No difference at all with regards to controllers.  The only place you might see a difference is that some video cards will give a black screen when passed through to a VM on legacy, but will work correctly if you boot via UEFI.
