[SOLVED] Start array without overwriting cache & losing data?

Featured Replies

I had to reset by hosts BIOS and hence the 4x4x4x4 Bifurcation for my 4xSSD cache got reseted. I accidentally booted unRaid without finishing the BIOS reconfiguration and started the array for 10 sec, then realized the mistake, did a clean reboot and reconfigured the x16 slot for Bifurcation.

Now, back online I want to start the array and obviously for the 4 cache drives it says "All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started". I moved approx 500GB of data to the SSD RAID10 prior the BIOS reset.

Any chance I can get around deleting the cache content?

Thanks for advise

Try starting the array with NO cache devices assigned at all, then reassign them back to their original slots.
