Anyway to start a linux MD array within unraid temporarly

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a few disks that I want to copy to my unraid array, by connecting them upto the same machine to save time, however I can't find mdadm, or any equivalent tool to create the array temporarly on my unraid. Network speed is going at a whopping 22 mb a sec, ill probably die of old age before it finishes...

Is there a prebuild package that would have these utilities, or I need to find binaries that will work on my current unraid setup to just do a quick mdadm --assemble command so I can mount the MD device, and copy the data at a reasonable speed ?

thanks,

Jonathan

Not that I'm aware of. Unraid replaces the mdadm functionality with its proprietary array software.
