I Suppose ata6 is one of the HDs and the only thing I would like to add here is that 2 of my drives are giving me error on the gui

and that's cause of the disk SMART status! Anything I can test to see what's causing it?

I have split your post into its own thread. Please don't hijack.

If possible before rebooting and preferably with the array started
Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.

So sorry for hijacking... :(

Thank you for the instant answer. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help

Looks like connection problem, and the SMART error on that disk is CRC which also suggests connection problems. You can acknowledge the CRC by clicking on that warning on the Dashboard and it will warn again if it increases.

Which other disk is showing SMART warning?

CRC errors are connection issues but that is more Reallocated than I would be comfortable with.

Connection issues, could this mean it's the LSI card? Or something else I should check on the hardware?

Maybe the power on those disks, so the PSU should be changed or something?

  • Community Expert

I only saw the connection issues on one disk in syslog so those CRC on the other disk could be old. The counts don't reset but you can acknowledge them as I mentioned.

Since other disks don't seem affected I would be more inclined to suspect cables or just a loose connection. Make sure there isn't any tension on the cables that might disturb the connection and don't bundle SATA cables.
