Mover Not moving files from cache drive

Featured Replies

I cant seem to find anyone else with this same problem so i decided to post my question.  I am currently running Unraid 6.8.3, i am using 2, 240gb ssd as my cache of which 215gb is being used by a docker.img file and another 1.07gb is being used by libvirt.img and thats the only thing on the drive. ive tried to invoke the mover and it does nothing.  I followed the steps here to remove all data from a chache drive so that it could be removed or replaced and that did not work.  It is even more confusing because my docker image is only supposed to be 20gb. i set all shares to cache yes and mover does nothing.  since the mover only moves files that are in a share i would have thought that those files would have moved because they are in the system share.  So at this point im at a loss. I have no room for fast data transfers to my server, and I was going to upgrade the cache drive to an 500gb nvme m.2 drive but i cant do anything until this is sorted out first.

That is 10 times as large as should be needed. And you want appdata and system shares to stay on cache so docker performance won't be impacted by slower parity. And if they are on the array disks will stay spunup because these files are always open. And mover can't move open files, but you shouldn't want to move them from cache anyway.

If possible before rebooting and preferably with the array started
Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
