December 27, 20205 yr I just upgraded my M/B, Processor, and Memory. My old M/B only had 2 SATA sockets and I have 4 drives. I used an old 9650SE for 2 of the drives. New M/B has 4 STATA and trying to get all drives up. Unraid is not recognizing the 2 drives that were on the 9560SE. The 9560SE was an AMCC and the drives were named 1AMCC_ZGY6LKVP000000000000 - 4 TB and 1AMCC_ZM40DN6X000000000000 - 4 TB. It now sees them as ST4000VN008-2DR166_ZGY6LKVP and ST4000VN008-2DR166_ZM40DN6X It will not allow me to use them saying wrong Disk. How do I get it to force to use the new names?
December 27, 20205 yr Community Expert Do you know exactly how the disks were assigned? In particular, do you know what slots these 5 minutes ago, Barryrod said: ST4000VN008-2DR166_ZGY6LKVP and ST4000VN008-2DR166_ZM40DN6X should be assigned to?
December 27, 20205 yr Author Yes. The serial numbers match up, but the old SATA controller I was using inserted it's own information in the beginning and zeros at the end 1AMCC_ZGY6LKVP000000000000=ST4000VN008-2DR166_ZGY6LKVP 1AMCC_ZM40DN6X000000000000=ST4000VN008-2DR166_ZM40DN6X Edited December 27, 20205 yr by Barryrod
