[SOLVED] Unassigned Devices

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone know why I am unable to mount/format a drive under unassigned devices? This drive has been residing under unassigned devices for a couple of years, and was used to record footage from a CCTV camera. I am no longer using the CCTV camera and would like to format the drive so that I can use it to store other data on it. I tried this morning to format it, but all I have achieved is that the mount button is now greyed out and nothing I do will get it back up.

I have both the unassigned and addon plugins installed, I have turned destructive mode on, yet I am unable to do anything with the drive. I have attached a screenshot of the GUI and the log.

You should use the plugin support thread, but the answer should be clear if you read the first couple of post here:

Sorry, you are quite correct, should have posted this in the plugin support thread.

However, I figured it out after reading through as you mentioned and found I had turned the pass-thru switch on which then stops you accessing the drive.

Note to oneself, don't be so lazy in future and read the bleeding manual :)
