[SOLVED] Unraid os unable to boot

Featured Replies

I just added a 4tb hdd and a 500gb ssd. I replaced my CPU too. All seen in the bios. Once the install os screen comes up and I selected. It froze up

See write cache enabled doesn't support dpo or fua keeps on coming up

Please help

Once the install os screen

There isn't an "install os screen". Do you mean the Unraid boot menu?

Don't really understand the rest of your post either. Maybe a screenshot if possible or photo if not.

Did you have an Unraid system working before you made the hardware changes?

i meant unraid boot menu

i had the unraid working before the hardware changes. and i had previously added an nvme ssd without issues besides choosing the boot drive. i added the hardware upgrades and selected the flash drive as the default boot drive and it freezes every time.

i have moved the usb drive to another port it still gets frozen

What are you selecting from the Boot Menu? Have you tried other selections?

  • Author

Restart...I selected unraid OS safe mode no plugins no GUI, boot incomplete

Restart...I selected unraid OS GUI safe mode no plugins, boot incomplete

Restart... I selected memtest, it said loading ok, and just restarts.

Put flash in your PC and let it checkdisk. While there make a backup. Try again. Be sure to boot from a USB2 port.

If that doesn't work, prepare flash again as a new install, copy config folder from your backup, and try again.

Did the checkdisk. some errors found but completed successfully. tried again and booted from a USB port 2, boot incomplete.

Prepared flash again as a new install, copied config folder, tried again and it still does not work

Are you booting UEFI or legacy? Is BIOS and flash both configured for the same boot?
